Great location! The lobby was clean and modern looking. Elevators were very small and very banged up. Our 1st room, half of the lights didn't work and was dirty. They moved us to another room with stains on the carpet, cigarette burns in the drywall and carpet as well. In the drawer next to the bed, there was a container of pizza sauce left by previous customers that smelled horrible. Would not stay here again. Cleanliness is a must regardless of what star hotel they are.

This hotel was very inexpensive but has been great so far. Very centrally located. Friendly staff. The lobby and entrance look very fancy. Room we are in is small and outdated but it is clean. Working hot water and heater. Very comfortable beds and pillows.

I got a good deal for my room when I booked it online. I was looking for an affordable place close to MagMile to crash in for the night and this hotel met my expectations. The rooms were small but comfortable. The only thing it missed was a microwave in it to reheat your overnight food. Oh , and they need to update their air-conditioning. It does the job, albeit slowly, but it takes one hell of a space by the window. The top floor is a nice place to be for some quiet conversations .

Location is perfect! Lobby is misleading, nice music & cool vibe made me think I was in for a treat. But the hallways and room were just as the other reviews stated. Old and outdated, and all I could smell was bleach! The bathroom was small with permanent dirt marks on the floor and just the bare necessities in the room. Definitely NOT worth the $175/night I paid!! Very disappointed! 😡

It's a 3 star hotel so expect 3 star quality or lack there of. Location is great though! One staff member was really nice and upgraded us to at top floor suite which we were so grateful for. But carpets are pretty dingy with spots all over. That was the extent to our good customer service. Everyone else was just okay.

This hotel is under renovation with new owners. The staff is super. They'll go above and beyond to do anything they can to make your stay better. But, find out if your room has been renovated or not. Take the time to call the hotel and understand exactly which room type you'll get when you check in. You'll get the best rate for a room that hasn't been renovated yet. But, you'll sacrice comfort. Carmelita is the best! Ask for her if you have any questions!

Rooms were a bit small, but they made good use of the space. The ac worked great, so the room was a welcome respite from the summer heat. The elevators were a bit small, but we never had to wait long to up or down from the 17th floor. Checked bag service was courteous and efficient. Great place to stay in a great location for a lot less than I'd expect.

This place was super comfy. I slept so well. It was cozy and a bit small but really really clean and the staff was super nice. If want to enjoy a hotel trip others may have more offer BUT if you are trying to enjoy the city this is an AMAZING spot.

I'll start by saying, the friendliest staff ever, plenty of clean towels and sheets, good location. However, the downstairs lobby is very deceiving. This place needs to be remodeled. Ugh sigh..smallest, loudest and awful eye burning bright lights in the elevators, paints peeling everywhere, holes in walls, carpets disgusting and sticky, a/c never worked (why I'm writing this review!), sink leaked and was literally falling off the wall, bottom of tub was sticky (YUCK!), AND (second reason in writing this!) my boyfriend was disgusted. He couldn't even sit in the office chair provided. How do I put this? Because it honestly looked as though it had male squirts on it?!!!! He laid a towel across the bottom and backing just to sit and put his shoes on the first night. He begged me to get a different hotel room and I said they all were probably like that one. He was so grossed out! We love Chicago and again I say the staff is wonderful. 3 stars is me being kind to the staff. Just beware is all. If they bring the amenities up to the standards that match the staffs friendliness and professionalism then it will be a really cool place. Good luck.

To the supposed owner whom responded to my post. I state again the service from the staff is to be seen separately. The staff is wonderful. The place is in really bad shape. Start there first. No apologies needed. Just fix it and I'm sure your business will get better.

Location is good. The hotel is old and in desperate need of a complete remodel. The rooms are tired and worn out.the bathrooms are pathetically small and poorly cleaned. In fact, the entire hotel just feels dirty. The staff is nice, but they can't make up for a hotel that is long past it's prime. Avoid this hotel if you can.

Very affordable in a great location. Lobby was amazing and the bar offered $5 double shot drinks over happy hour. Elevators were small and slow to come. Room was in good condition, three large windows as we had a corner room. We were advised this room came with queen beds however they were double beds and were impossible to sleep in. The bathroom had no fan so after showering the whole room felt damp. There were also lots of little black hairs in the bath before anyone had even used it. Although there was no fridge there was an ice machine right outside our room

The cooler/heater works great and is easy to keep the room to the temperature you wish! It's a fine place, no frills gets the job done. No fridges in the rooms, there needs to be fridges in the rooms, please! Also no heating utilities in the rooms: It was very hard to heat water for my tea. Pleasent interactions with the staff. Rooms have only a bed, tv, desk, bathroom, and lamps.

Great location but the hotel is very of old. Nothing special about the room, kinda takes me back in time. If the rooms were updated a bit I would probably bump my rating up a star. The lobby is nicely updated though. The elevators are also very small; probably fits no more than 5 people at a time, even less with luggage. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in a decent location. Just off the magnificent Mile. Great area for shopping. The rooms are not very however. They get the job done and are clean enough. However, they are quite small and are not very visually appealing. The service was the highlight of the stay. Everyone was extremely helpful and nice. Decent hotel if you get a decent deal.
