I come home to NY every 3-4 months. Over this past summer, I had a horrible experience here with a one night stay. There was a fire a few nights before my check-in and no one bothered to call to notify me. I was placed in the next available room after the fire rooms. There were no alternative rooms available and everywhere else was booked. After a night filled with a broken a/c and breathing the fire smell, my son and I both woke up sick the next day. A review was left and answered by the general manager to call before I came next time and s/he would make good.

I left 4 voicemails, finally booked my two night stay and arrived very late this evening. Front desk staff was very friendly, room is disgusting. The carpet looks like a crime scene aftermath. The bathroom door is painted in so many layers, it no longer closes. There were drops of BLOOD!!! on the bathroom wall. The blinds are torn, curtains are ripped.

On a positive note, if you want to drink a beer while on the toilet, there's a bottle opener on the back of the door.

Never again, Inn On The Hudson. I will book my future trips back home somewhere else.

We had the very end Corner Room and it was horrible no carpeting at all on the floor not even a rug to wipe our feet before we get into bed and the driveway was literally 1 foot , of course the wall separated us, from the driveway. just a foot away from our head of our bed it was in a rugged rough condition paint was peeling in the bathroom and it wasn't very nice I or I should say we did not like the place although the people in The Breakfast were very nice but the food was typical and unedible

A delightful, enchanting hotel with all the comforts of a well run hotel. Family run, not a corporation which is why it was so charming and why they treat their guests as though they are friends.
Room was small but immaculately clean, and comfortable; and tastefully decorated in simple earth tones.Small but inviting bathrooms with great water pressure for the best shower ever;individual temperature controls in each room, breathtaking views of the Hudson, with refrigerator and microwave. Hotel set on its own private property like a fine, private estate away from any other commercial properties. Attractive bar area in the dining room. A generous continental breakfast is served in the main dining room included in the price of your room; tables with unobstructed views of the Hudson. Parking available right in front of your room. A welcome retreat to embrace you after a day exploring the Hudson area. An absolute bargain and the perfect place to stay on the Hudson to complete your visit.

Came on weekend for 1 night staying. Was sooo surprised when next morning at 9 am cleaning lady just came in the room! i think they should have some info that no need to disturb 1 night guests for the cleaning?!
Woman on reception was extremely rude let's say they charge 169$ for the night so not too cheap. and she doesn't even let us leave our bag packs for few hours while our hiking. We bought some heavy souvenirs on day before. And we came without car. It's really rude. Never see this kind of service even in hotels cheaper then this. Hot breakfast is cost 5 $
And mixed fruits was addled that morning.
So we ordered omelets, And it was really delicious!!! I put star for that. Stuff in restaurant was also really nice. We had a lunch there on previous day too.

Very clean and tidy, new carpeting and paint, lots of comfy bedding with your choice of pillows. Front desk staff were kind and attentive. It is near the train tracks, but the horns are not a problem once you're snug for the night. Prices are very reasonable. Would be happy to stay again.

Great view. Convenient location, lots of great restaurants within walking distance, including on site. Only complaint is that the amenities in the rooms are too old, and the rooms can be noisy from the road.

*Please, Inn On the Hudson, renovate your antiquated bathrooms and create a cleaning checklist for your staff. There's so much potential for this place, if you just made sure the rooms were cleaned thoroughly and up to date. You'd receive much better reviews and more service if you invested more money into the rooms and your staff.

Definetly hasent improved in two years.
The ac was full of mold. There were no comforters just some like brown material and the porch door was unlocked and gave me a unsafe feeling.
Even in a pinch Id say Holiday Inn.

Great view of the Hudson, rooms are dated but comfy. Mini fridge and microwave in rooms. Iron and ironing board provided by front desk. WiFi was free and very good speed. Staff is VERY friendly and accommodating. Restaurant and bar, named Vue, on site with inside and patio dining, which currently is closed on Mondays. Outside there's a little sitting area with grass to accommodate your dog. 2 grills guests can use. Comp continental breakfast but you can also order hot, full breakfast for an additional reasonable price. Pool on site. There was a real good reggae band playing by the pool upon arrival. Was informed by the staff they occasionally have live entertainment. We just missed the pub crawl the day before. Yes, you can hear the train and ships in the distance, but it's not as disturbing as people say. You don't even notice it after a while. This is my 2nd stay in 4 mos and will be my go to place when visiting Peekskill.

Location is great, right outside of downtown Peekskill. You get a nice view of the Hudson and surrounding hills. Beds are super comfortable and sheets are soft. Everything is very clean. The bar/restaurant has great food and good prices. The free Internet is reliable and very fast, which is rare at most mainstream hotels. I will definitely stay here again.
