The Hampton Inn & Suites Staten Island was a wonderful surprise. Having to attend a professional conference only, thereby unable to review the rooms, I can attest to the lobby and lounge areas to be spotless.. extremely clean. The staff greeted me with all smiles and were extremely professional. Thank you.
Checked in to the smell of marijuana in the lobby. The floor they put me on was worse. When I went downstairs to change my FLOOR not having made it to the room. The desk staff did it without responding to what I was saying. Security guy said he just checked the floor below it, which is where they were gonna put me! and it was the same thing. Now I don't know how many rooms full of pot smokers it takes to stink up the whole hotel but wouldn't you think they would at least say sorry? Not a chance, wouldn't even look me in the eye. In the morning it was pure denial from the staff, even though the smell was still everywhere! I rarely leave before checkout but I had to get out of the room. I did stop by the miserable free breakfast to shove down some water eggs, y'know, because of the munchies!
Miserable, never complain here, they can't help you!
Staff friendly, rooms are great. Whirlpool in room awesome for relaxation. Great free continental breakfast, we stay 4 nights and had a different breakfast each morning not like other hotels that advertise it but only have coffee, tea and doughnuts. Scrambled eggs, French toast, omelettes, etc.. Worth the money spent.
The Hampton Inn is one of the best hotels in Staten Island. The rooms are large, unlike most hotels in NYC. Parking is plentiful, breakfast is included, and the staff is friendly. Transportation is a bit iffy. The hotel promises a free shuttle to the ferry and Newark Airport, but I would not rely on it. I was trying to arrange for a shuttle for 10am for the following day and was told that the only times available were 7am and 1pm. Not very helpful. Fortunately, there is a bus stop just a short walk away on South Avenue that takes you to the ferry.
Wonderfully relaxing. Just what was needed after a long day. Topped off with breakfast in the morning. Loved it!!!
This location has got to be one of the crown jewels of the Hampton Inn franchise. The staff is top notch, the interior is stunningly beautiful and the swimming pool is warm and inviting. Breakfast was delicious and the hotel interior decor pays tribute to a wonderful history of horses and horse racing. The location is ideal with easy access to the interstate. I highly recommend this for anyone visiting the area. I look forward to staying here again in the future.
The staff at this location is top-notch. Even after I mistakenly booked at the wrong Hotel they were able to come to my rescue and had a room for me. This is also the first Hamilton in that had a swimming pool with decent-sized towels. Yippee! I hope they adopt this towel style at their other locations. The place is beautiful. The decorations pay tribute to horse racing and it is extremely well done. Looking highly forward to breakfast tomorrow morning. This is the second time I stayed at this location and I will be staying here again.
This is one of our most often used Hamptons when we go to NYC and area. We have been coming here since the property opened. Beautiful, clean the owners are spectacular. What a wonderful place. This hotel melts away all the insanity of NYC be back soon thank you
Very spacious room and very clean and comfortable beds. The bathtub was particularly nice. One of the outlets did not seem to work, which was annoying and the bagels at the breakfast were made of plastic (not literally plastic, but of poor quality). Overall, I would still recommend this location.
This is a very nice hotel. Upon check in I was notified I was getting a room upgrade. Very pleasant surprise. Room is very big and beds are decent. I will definitely come back here
The rooms are very nice; cleaner than most Hamptons I've been to. The people at the front desk are patient, kind, and helpful in every way. I especially like the pool area here, very open space.
Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Breakfast choices could have been better. I don't eat pork and the main item had pork.
No complaints, nice area and feee parking. The kids liked that the pool was open until 10pm so they could go for a quick swim after a day in Manhattan. The breakfast wasnt bad and the room we had was clean and quite.
I briefly visited a friend who was staying there. The room was nice and spacious. More information on where to get food in the area would have been helpful. The lobby is lovely.
