This is an interesting store. More of an experience. I try to go only once a year though. The long pathway through the store and the long checkout time waste a lot of time and can tire you out. Come on Ikea, we need buy online and quick pickup in store. How about curbside pickup or free delivery like other stores?
Nice and big collection of furniture and home decorations. There food court service and price is also great.
Why is your customer service rep keeps arguing with me and telling me how the system work? They system is obviously broken when there are items inventory and I can place and order, but subsequently ran out while they pick the items for delivery. (Solution: They system should deduct the items when order is placed, not when it's picked). Second, no courtesy call to let us know only 2 of 3 boxes in a SET is available (why do you carry partial set anyway). Third, get a better service rep that accepts customers suggestion for improvement, not the one that yell back and "explain" how the system works. (the system is broken, fix it).
Ikea I love it it's great store. You can definitely find stuff and a decent price. And the selection of stuff is good the quality stuff is good.
I had the worst possible experience a customer can have. I was expecting a guest at my home on Oct 9, 2017. Hence, I went into the store and bought a queen bed and mattress on Oct 1, 2017. I purchased the delivery and assembly of this bed and scheduled it for October 3, 2017. However, I had something come up and I had to reschedule the delivery for October 8, 2017. I rescheduled my delivery On October 2, 2017 itself. On October 8, 2017, I kept on waiting for the delivery and assembly guys to come in. I called up customer care to enquire about the status of them coming in. There was a 45 minutes wait on phone to be able to talk to someone. When I reached a customer care representative, they confirmed that my delivery and assembly is scheduled for today and asked me to wait till the end of the time slot provided to me. I kept on waiting. After no one turned up, I called again. I had to again wait 45-50 minutes to be able to talk to one of the customer care representatives. He checked and told me that there was some error and the delivery and assembly would not take place today and they will have to reschedule. The earliest date that they gave me now was October 10, 2017. I told them that this would be too late as I had a guest coming in and why I have to go through all this due to an error at IKEA’s end. I was again put on a very long hold after which the customer care representative came back and said that they will be able to schedule the delivery and assembly on October 9, 2017. As soon as he said this, the phone got disconnected. I had to redial and then again hold for 45 minutes to get to another customer care representative and I had to tell her the entire story. I also asked her to call my cell in case we got disconnected as I would have to again wait for a very long time to be able to talk to someone. She mentioned that she would not be able to call me as it was an inbound call center. I was again put on hold and the call got disconnected. I again called customer care and then had to wait 45-50 minutes to be able to speak to someone else. Again, I had to tell them the entire story. I was again put on a couple of long holds. After that I was told that the earliest date for delivery and assembly available was October 10, 2017. I had to again tell the customer care representative that the delivery and assembly date for October 9, 2017 was made available to me by the previous customer care representative and I was about to set that appointment before the phone got disconnected. I was again put on 3-4 very long holds. After which, the delivery and installation date of October 9, 2017 was made available to me. Questions to IKEA. Why did I have to suffer such agony and stress due to an error in your system? I did everything needed on my part in a timely manner. The only error on my part here is that I went into the store and made a purchase with you guys which led to such an agonizing, stressful and frustrating experience.
Great and helpful staff when I had to ask for the location of some of the items I was looking for. There were a lot of people on line and I wish they had some kind of self check out especially since I was only purchasing 3 small items. But almost immediately when I lined up, workers started opening registers and the lines shrunk to 4 about 4 customers per line.
First and foremost I had the worst first experience in IKEA (Hicksville). I had to go back and forth to this store because the color that I wanted, and that WAS labeled on the box was the wrong color inside, and when I did get the right color there was pieces missing! BEWARE of pieces missing! The only good thing I have to say is about an amazing, hardworking employee named Joseph. He works in return and exchanges. He is an awesome employee and will put a customer needs first. IKEA should be grateful to have a person like him. Thank you Joseph!
Very bad experience at check out. Short staff and took us one hour to pay of our product. When I talked to the front manager (John) he was like thats all I can do. Was very rude. He was like we doing over 600K sale today I don't care. I am not going to argue. I strongly recommend making some self check out register specially for small items if they can't hire more staff. Give me break 500 people were on the line and only have few register were open.
Excellent value and choices for furniture, although cannot verify the longevity of the products. Some items very well engineered when put together and some with odd set of instructions. I wasn't aware that some of the staff in each dept. were there to help but they could make this a bit more obvious for customers. Good on returns and exchanges.
We designed a particular kitchen and we're quoted a price. When we came to place the order, they told us the finish we want would be $1,500.00 more. The finish we we wanted was the same from day one.
The manager refused to lower the price and accommodate us in any way. Horrible experience, will never buy from Ikea again
Great collection and reasonable price. BUT don't forget to eat Vanilla yogurt Cone 🍦 delicious 😋
Where else can you get all the furniture you need at one store? yup. this is it. some of the things being sold here are genius and the cheapest you will find. i found here some storage solutions that are simply life changing.
Such a fun place to spend a weekend! I was helping my friend move so we went to get some new furniture. It's pretty cool to check out all the stuff they have.
This Ikea is organized for being so busy on the weekend. I would recommend coming during the weekday if you can. Weekend gets kinda nuts. There is plenty of parking in the loading area though it is still not enough on the weekend. Some great deals to be had when they clearance items. Also don't forget to check the "As-is" section by checkout also for deals on returned or display items.
The restaurant is upstairs at the end of the route or there is a shortcut in the beginning of the route. There are large tables and couches available for seating. Food service is cafeteria style and the prices are good. Food is delicious and there are enough choices to satisfy most people. Downstairs by the exit is the cafe where cheap hot dogs, frozen yogurt, and cinnamon buns can be had. Limited seating available. The Swedish Food Market and candy bar is next to the cafe.
