STAY AWAY, THE PLACE IS CREEPY. The staff is unfriendly and can barely speak english. I paid for a room with king bed and was stuck in a tiny room with twin bed and no windows. Was promised a partial refund, but never received one.

The place has a creepy vibe overall, dont trust the nice pictures they put up on booking sites. It's in the middle of nowhere, in a crime ridden sketchy neighborhood and to top it of adjacent to a cemetary.

If you end up in this motel, lock your doors when you go to bed and avoid walking around the hallways at nighttime, lots of sketchy people stay in this place.

I loved this place. It was so nice and the air conditioning is amazing. There is ice machines, breakfast, computers and the bathroom is so fancy. The room service is awesome they clean real good

Ok for a one night stay. Not a very good hotel overall but is in a very good location and has free parking. Has free breakfast which was also good.

Booked a hotel for relatively cheap, good deal for me, months and months ago in anticipation for an event I'll be attending in the city. When the date came, they took back the reservation one week before check-in saying they "overbooked" and had little other explanation for neither me or my booking agency besides that. But oh, go check back on their website and other agencies, and they have open vacancies for the same rooms and dates, for 3x the price I paid.

So do yourself a favor and avoid this place you don't want to be screwed over because they didn't optimize their profits on rental fees. They're more than willing to toss you out and void their already-paid-for booking to rebook someone else for more money. As of now, this is a totally legal, unregulated market of hotel arrangements. So good for them - making money, but not all establishments take full advantage of this and respect their room commitments. So watch yourself when booking this place - because they can and will pull the rug out from underneath you to their benefit - and if there's another comparable place available - pay the extra for them. You'll end up regretting when they claim "overbooked!" a week prior to check-in.

This hotel was nothing special but it was the perfect location at the perfect price. The room was large enough for a single air mattress to fit without feeling cramped. The room was clean enough and there was good water pressure in the shower. The staff was cordial and helpful. And, there was parking and shuttle service to the subway.

Really comfortable rooms which were maintained clean. Had a microwave, TV and a fridge in the room which I guess is pretty standard for most hotels of this grade. They also have vending machines (for quick bites and ice) on the ground floor. Breakfast is complementary and there is also a pickup and drop service to the nearest subway station.

The customer service was dry and poor (checking in/out).

If you do not have a lot of bags / luggage, please do not wait for the elevatorit takes forever!

Overall, it was alright. Location was good. Other than that, there are some characters staying there.

We only stayed there one night..for the price, it was ok.

5 nights with children. Very nice place. A little bit old but the room is big and there is all you need. Nice breakfast but we missed bacon! Great idea with free shuttle to the nearest station. Nice people.

The entrance is kind of hidden. They offer free rides to the subway. The building had been around a long time. The bathroom door lock was broken. The elevator was really slow. The room was adequate. The free breakfast in the morning was pretty good.

Location is 15 minute walk to a subway, though they provide free shuttles to the subway. Rooms slightly smelled like cigarettes, but were generally clean. Staff was nice and accommodating.

City View Inn is located outside Manhattan without the Manhattan prices. Rates include a breakfast consisting of waffles, cereals, eggs, fruit, croissants , bagels, donuts, coffee etc. Transportation available to 7 train every hour from morning to evening. Hotel has a small business area with 2 computers and printer located in the lobby. Parking lot on premises. Vending machines are located on the 1st floor near the ice machine. Employees are professional and eager to assist. I would recommend for all they offer , and the location being right outside of Manhattan, and upgrades slowly being done after changing owners. I would without hesitation stay here again in the future.
