Perfect location! I upgraded to a river view room and it was awesome to be able to see the bridge and huge barges from the window day and night. Out the four hotels I have stayed at on River Street this was the best for convenience. I truly enjoyed the outdoor bar patio fire pit. The hotel sits partially over Bay St with elevators that go from the lobby down to Bay St. It is also convenient for walking to dinner, City Market and the shopping district. The valets are very nice and helpful.

Cons: slow service (lobby, bar, cleaning service), minimum number of king size rooms, double (not queen) beds which were horribly uncomfortable, pillows that went flat, and cargo shipping horns in the middle of the night. If you don't upgrade to a river or street view you get an inside view of the inside atrium/lobby.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect for anyone hoping to have a fun night out on River Street. The drinks at the hotel bar were of excellent, quality and mixed very well but were relatively expensive. The room was amazing; comfy beds, strong AC, nice shower and we even had a good view of the river. Another bonus was the amazing lobby and very cool elevator. Overall this was an excellent hotel and was reasonably priced. I would highly recommend it!

Modern hotel that is well furnished. Views on the outer rooms can look upon the city or the river. Breakfast was ok. Amenities very good.

Beds are hard however and they supply small pillows half the size of standard ones. Don't offer water in the rooms unless your a gold member or want to pay 5 dollars. In total honesty out of the many hotels I've stayed in around the world they're not up to scratch especially when they should be "one of the nicer hotels".

This hotel is in a great location, in the heart of downtown. The rooms are spacious and the river view rooms are great. Lots of amenities. Be sure to get a room with a river view. Good service. The food in the restaurant was good.

We were very pleased with our room for the night. We had a king sized bed with a private balcony. The room provided very nice views of the river, much better than we could have imagined. The hotel was quiet. The bathroom was a bit small, but the shower itself was roomy. We parked in the parking garage across the street for about half the price (valet- $28 parking garage- $16) We would definitely recommend the Hyatt Regency of Savannah for anyone looking for a hotel to stay in while visiting Savannah.

Great hotel. None of the cleaning issues some other guests seem to have encountered. They have a note that says they clean towels every other night to save water unless you request. I didn't mind. Surprisingly not as expensive as other hotels in the area but still happy with the stay. It is right on top of Riverside for a nice walk and close to Forsyth Park.

Rooms were nice and so we're the convention facilities. Almost all the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a small problem at check in when I was given the wrong type of room and had to drag my luggage up and down several times, after a long day of travel across the country. Also, on my first day it appeared as though housecleaning had not cleaned my shower at all. Ever ything else was terrific!

The restaurant is great. The food delicious and beautifully presented. The valet/garage service is very accommodating (Ask for Barbara, she is terrific) Great place for a conference and convenient location. But the housekeeping was the worst ever. They did not clean the tub or the sink and I had to call after the second day due to poor cleaningbut that didn't help at all. Despite that it was a nice hotel. Note: Few rooms have windows that face outside. Most look into the hotel.

Newly renovated/renovating, and their prices show we're paying for it. I'm not complaining about the quality of the Hyatt Regency at all. In fact, aside from all the niche hotels along the Savannah River, the Hyatt is--in my opinion--the most reliable quality option on River Street. Their food is of a very high quality; I'm talking about both the ingredients and the preparation. Their bar is well stocked and provides a fun atmosphere; however, when my $20 didn't suffice for a single drink (not even a premium selection), I decided drinking there was no longer fun. The service-level correlates inversely with the congestion of the hotel, so service is wonderful when nobody is around and it's hard to come by when the place is packed. I thought the pace of dining in their restaurant (not the bar) was a little slow, but the quality was not quite far enough down the spectrum of fine dining to justify the wait times. Their group/convention/event accommodations are quite good: the spaces available, the catering options, and the service. We all felt free to enjoy ourselves and indulge a little under their hospitality. In short, if you can pay for it and want a solid option on the Savannah side of the river, the Hyatt delivers better than each of their mainstream competitors; trust me, I've tried each of them.

The perfect location for a great night of sleep. The hotel is situated right above river street in the heart of the Historic District. The hotel does seem to be going through some slight renovations, but it is still very nice. The bed was a king and very comfy. The shower was a good size and the room itself had plenty of room in it. We had a river view room and it was awesome! The only downside to this hotel is parking. Your choices are $30/night valet parking or parking a few blocks away for $16. Other than that, it was a great stay and will happily stay there again!

This dated but lovely hotel is located right on the water, providing gorgeous views (on the water side). It's incredible to open up your windows and see a massive boat cruise by! The staff are friendly, and the hotel rooms solid. It's a tad dated, and the interior space (almost all rooms open up on the foyer) can make it a bit noisy, but overall it's a pleasure to stay here!

My family came to Savannah for a weekend trip to visit SCAD for my daughter. The location of this hotel is amazing! It's right on River Street overlooking the Savannah River. Our room had a perfect view. The staff is so nice and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect location on river street a short walk from anywhere you'd like downtown. Jordan at the front desk was welcoming and gave great restaurant recommendations!

The view of the river is beautiful. You can see the massive container ships passing by which excited my dad.

The room servicing was slow, never happened before 5 PM. Often they forgot to change towels or add more coffee. I think this was due to higher holiday occupancy.
