I love, love, love the warm cookie upon check-in. The room was great and the bed was comfortable! The room service breakfast the next day had a few missing elements. The bacon was way overcooked and they brought old coffee twice. We ended using the small coffee maker in the room for a fresh cup of coffee. Ours probably best to do down to breakfast.

The hotel itself was great but the staff was better. The rooms and common areas were very clean and welcoming. I enjoyed the hotel bar with drinks priced better than I thought. However the staff made the stay a notch better than the rest. They were all friendly, considerate, responsive, & easy to talk with. I had a pleasant experience with every staff member I interacted with during my stay. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely look to stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Very clean, comfortable, and friendly staff! Nice warm cookies at check in, and a fantastic light clean smell fills the hallways The in room white noise machine was a nice touch. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.

I was really pleased with our visit at this hotel. Everyone there was very nice and did anything I asked. The room was very clean and nice. We had no issues whatsoever. The location was perfect for River Street. We were able to just walk everywhere we went. Easy to get into and out of with parking. The valet park parking was great. The Personnel in the valet parking was awesome. They were very nice and friendly. And they really seemed it to care about your personal items and your vehicle. I will probably use this hotel everytime I visit downtown Savannah. Plus, the Hilton point system is great also.

We had a really great visit at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Savannah. The staff was so friendly and helpful! We were always greeted as we entered or exited the building. The front desk staff was very helpful when asked for suggestions in the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Been a Hilton Diamond member for nearly 20 years.
This is the LOUDEST hotel I have ever stayed in.
Very nice interior, but when the room has earplugs provided and a "white noise" machine, that should come as a big warning. If you get a room, make sure it is on the side NOT facing the water. Traffic from the shipyard is constant. They obviously went cheap on the sound insulation. Don't waste your money.response / report this review -

I normally don't do reviews unless I'm very pleased or very disappointed, but I have to say I'm very pleased with DoubleTree in Savannah Historical District. The rooms are very clean, the people were extremely nice and motivated to help you have a great stay. The rooms and the lobby are absolutely gorgeous, fitting to the theme of historical Savannah, tasteful with a very relaxing homey, but high end atmosphere. I wish our Riverview was a little easier to see at night, but that's absolutely no fault of theirs, and we got to see a beautiful sight early this morning. Priced fairly, and worth every dime.

Very pleasant and professional staff!! The room was clean, spacious, and modern. I held back a star because I had no idea the noise level would interrupt my sleep! They do provide earplugs and a white noise machine that I'll try tonight. Water pressure in the shower was a little low but was corrected immediately with a new shower head. In the middle of the historic/walking district, this place is a must-stay!

I loved this Double Tree by Hilton! Its a place of quality and elegance. Great place for nice pics, because the decor is incredible. The customer service from entrance of the hotel to the check-in was excellent! Miss Dana L, gave great quality customer service, I give her plus 5 stars. The room were gracefully clean and had a nice pleasant fragrance. The breakfast is delicious and the servers are professional and great! My stay here was great, no complaints from me.

Beautiful, modern hotel close to the river in downtown Savannah. Easy walk to many restaurants and shops. Staff was very attentive and professional. Our room was very clean and well appointed for our stay, as was the entire hotel. Breakfast was average hotel fare. Otherwise an overall excellent experience. Definitely recommend this hotel!

I love this hotel. Customer service is always excellent from the time you valet your car to check-out. Rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. River Street and the city market are within walking distance. Plus they have THE COOKIE

Hotel was up to date and clean. The room was clean, but I would prefer fitted bottom sheets. The staff was very helpful, except for those in the restaurant. Service in the restaurant was slow.

Brittany at the front desk and Catelyn in the restaurant are amzing. Valet was on time and courteous. The room and food was fantastic. Definitely a 4.5 star hotel. Looking forward to staying there again.

Best hotel that I have ever had the pleasure of staying at! We had a room secluded to ourselves at the end of the hallway, which gave us extra privacy. The barteneder made AMAZING drinks! The room was beautiful! The entire hotel smelled delightful! Our concierge and valet were super nice and very helpful! Even the cleaning crew was pleasant! We were within walking distance to all the night spots, which was a huge plus! The entire experience was magnificent!

Hotel was nice but street noise was enough to keep us up most of the night and started full volume by six am. Windows allowed all the noise in had to check to ensure there wasn't an open window. Obviously this is an ongoing issue as we found earplugs in the room in the morning as we were packing up. Advanced notice of this issue would have allowed a more informed decision as to weather or not to stay. Someone in our family mentioned to noise at the front desk and they just shrugged their shoulders. Nice hotel but would not recommend.
