We've stayed here for years passing thru to Florida. The rooms are great, most importantly the staff exceeds any place we've stayed. Always pleasant and accommodating. We love it there. No ghosts tho, I keep waiting and watching.
Great room overlooking the city. Front area staff were amazing with recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Will definitely stay again.
The staff is incredible. The rooms are fantastic and I love staying here. Every time we are in Savannah we stay here. I would highly recommend Marshall House!
Loved the experience. I was a visitor for a tour for history and ghosts. I love the history behind the original reason the building was built. It's beneficial to learn about this building and some of the helpful aspirations it intended towards modernized medicine.
A beautiful hotel to stay at in Savannah. The young lady who checked us in also gave us some tips on really great places in town to check out. Overall a very great place to stay.
Absolutely fantastic stay! From start to finish, everything was great. We stayed on a Tuesday night, which meant we could sit in on the free wine and cheese hour while listening to a local historian tell the history of Savannah. The Inn Keeper also spoke to the crowd, touching on the history of the Marshall House itself.
I have to give a special shout out to the front desk employee that checked us in -- Ceiara Grant. Extremely polite and courteous! She was very helpful and accommodating to every question I had, even the ones about which rooms were the most haunted. By the way, we stayed in room 315 and, unfortunately, no ghosts visited.
Such an amazing hotel! We stayed in a beautiful king room for two nights. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel. I definitely would stay here again. Carlton, Bernard and Caliegh were very friendly, they had a great sense of humor, helpful with all our questions. They made us feel very welcomed.
Food was absolutely exquisite. My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we decided to get 6 appetizers instead of 2 big entrees. Best idea ever! We had the escargot, 2 different pizzas, fried green tomatoes, capreccio meat plate, and the bread! Hands down most amazing! Our waitress was most informative.
Passed through Savannah and stayed a night at the Marshall house with wife and kiddo. Wow! We have stayed at the other historic hotels in town and this place is the best. Service was amazing and all the staff was top notch. Rooms are really historic but still have the comforts of home. Breakfast was reasonable and delicious. Please remember to slow down and wait a little in Savannah.
Friendly staff in an absolutely beautiful and historic hotel. Stayed in a standard queen room which had a very comfortable bed, fridge, and beautiful bathroom. I loved the original hardwood floors throughout the hotel. As old as this place is, they keep it up very well. It's apparently haunted, but, unfortunately we did not see any ghosts. The location is perfect for walking around historic Savannah-didn't need a car once while we were there. There are many great restaurants, bars, and shops within a short walking distance.
This is a gorgeous historic hotel in the historic district of Savannah. Tons of walkable shops and restaurants nearby. Guest services were exceptional. All of the staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms are charming, but on the smaller side. We couldn't hear our neighbors, but could hear those above us (original floors!). Views aren't great looking out, but The Marshall House itself is stunning and it is gorgeous inside!
If your looking for an historic hotel rather than the normal chain. Then this is a good option. Great location and charm too. Be aware though. We ate out for breakfast and dinner but at check out had a $14 charge for breakfast for the three nights that we stayed. And it was badly explained that it was part of the room rate even though it was an extra charge. So left us with a sour taste at check out.
Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of everything! We were able to walk to a concert at the Lucas, eat at a great restaurant, etc. all within walking distance. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade. The room was beautiful decorated and immaculately clean. The breakfast was amazing and the wait staff were very accommodating. Excellent choice! It
Love the rooms! They're so comfy with a vintage feel. Makes me feel like "home"! The staff was extremely helpful and patient with answering all of my questions! For parking, a guest can pay $20 per day until midnight for valet or pay $1 an hour in a public parking garage located directly behind The Marshall House which was a bit confusing. But hey we got it worked out. The price was a little steep when compared to other hotels like the Hyatt. Overall great experience.
