This hotel is filthy and needs a make over as soon as possible. The room I was assigned was terrible. It had a musty smell, very dark and gloomy and had only 1 outlet box in the entire room. If you have more than 2 phones one of the lamps had to be unplugged. The furniture in the room had scratches, dents & missing fixtures. It seem to me the furniture was bought used from a garage sale. The front desk staff could be a little more professional. As I was checking in there was a side conversation going about a woman and her stomach problems. Guest should not be witness to that when trying to check in. When I think Ramada Hotels I think of a good brand and this hotel is not holding up it's end of the bargain. They must do better.
it's old needs to be updated..food mostly fatty foods no taste or favor staff in dinning room nice. front desk not so friendly.. would not recommend to anyone..
This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. After getting into our room we walked in to be greeted by a Cockroach. We called down and changed our room. Got in the second room and in the middle of the night I saw another cockroach. The buffet that
You get free is awful. Food was cold. Not good. We we got here on Wednesday there was a huge pile of bird poop or something on the ledge of the pool. 3 days later it’s still there. Rooms are run down and carpet is nasty dirty.
Definitely lives up to the description on their site. Straightforward lodging. We ended up staying one night then left for a better hotel. Hotel needs updating and repairs. I did not feel as if it was clean. Our interior door to our room had to be double-checked to be sure it was shut. We got the 2 night stay free though a time share, upon checking in they offered us more incentives, but if this Ramada is where the timeshare puts you up, I have zero interest in returning. I don't mind to pay for a quality room. I will say the staff was friendly.
So my impression at the Ramada was everyone had an "it's not my job" attitude. We had a place to be and my daughter had to get cleaned up, but no one had cleaned our room yet, so we called down for fresh towels. It took 4 phone calls to the front desk, and talking with 3 housekeepers directly, who all said "I don't have towels, someone will bring them". I even said I would get the towels if they point me in the right direction. It took over 30 minutes and my daughter had drip-dried in the bathroom before anyone showed up. Very disappointing.
The bathroom was disgusting, the floor hadn't been mopped before we came in and there were dirty shoe sprints on the white tile. The towels we're stained and scratchy.
The water temperature fluctuated constantly while showering. The water was discolored in the toilet. I saw in the room binder that there was a disclaimer about the water being discolored but the city had tested the water for safety and found it safe to drink and use for bathing. So gross. Wouldn't drink it, even brushing my teeth with it left a gross feeling in my mouth.
The bed and pillows were comfy, but that's the best thing about the room anyway.
The breakfast staff were rude and told us we needed vouchers to get the *free* breakfast and we had to go to a separate desk from the regular reception desk to get the vouchers. Despite that, we still had to pay $4 for breakfast, not including tipping the snarky "waiter" even though it was a buffet.
Overall a bad hotel stay, mostly because hygiene is extremely important in a hotel and those standards were not met.
Let's see we get to our rooms which we were told were joining rooms but wasn't.. The carpet looked as though it had been pulled out of a dumpster the furniture was extremely scared up it is very old mildew around the base boards.. My son called down not to complain about the room but to tell them are rooms were not joining he was told they would call us when one came available so he went down to the front deskso as me and my grand children sat and waited I notice no refrigerator or microwave. I then went down and was told it was a $10 charge per night. We had to pay resort fees for a hotel that is absolutely not a Resort why would we need to pay more I would not recommend this hotel to anyoneI travel a lot and I have stayed in a lot of Hotels & Resort and NY suggestion would be to look at your room be fore checking in the rooms we were changed are a little better but I will never stay here again.
Holy mother where to start? After our reservation was lost from another hotel, we scrambled around until landing on this Ramada. How I wish we had read the reviews first. Adrianna the front desk person was friendly and accommodating, asking if we wanted double beds. But once we got to the elevator, it all went down hill. The hallway REEKED of cigarette and weed smoke. Once we got to the room, as I turned on the light I saw something scurry near the bed. That something turned out to be roaches! Awesome. Called the front desk and the person who answered (who was NOT Adrianna) literally said “well what do you want me to do about it, call maintenance and have them kill it?” OH OK COOL. That was the final straw (not to mention the room itself was just, dirty). We decided it wasn’t worth it and hightailed it out of there. This hotel needs a complete remodel in the worst way!
Our room door wouldn't lock. Had to have maintenance come and they told us to just slam the door. Holes in the wall and the room smelled like cigarette smoke. Outside entrance doors work when they want, otherwise you have to walk all the way around the building to try another door. Even security tried and said, "the door can be an a**hole. Use the other one. Don't eat the food here. I wouldn't even call it food. Do not disturb sign was in our door, but yet housekeeping still knocked on our door. Customer Service is lacking.
Bed was huge, room spacious but it smelled like comet cleaner not a great sign in my mind. I reported a problem with the toilet in the room and no one came to address the issue. The staff was pleasant. The continental breakfast had turkey sausage(outstanding in my book) but the egg omelets where either powdered eggs or pre-made frozen omelets I wish there was a better selection of fresh fruit. Slept well which is a plus.
Not too far of a driver to the beach. Close to so many restaurants/bars/stores! Rooms are decent and free wifi. Pool has an amazing jacuzzi that was hotter than most. That was key for us, my dad even enjoyed it during the blazing hot day! Great for families with kiddos of all ages!
No hot water and food was cold! No safe or mini frig in rooms!
The front desk staff and maintenance staff are amazing though. However some of the servers in the dining area could use a fresher course in customer service. I thought that because it was a part of Wyndham it would be a lot nicer than what it was.
We were here for a two night stay before a cruise. The room was very nice and even had a patio that had direct access to the tiki bar and pool. However upon opening the curtains, an open box cutter fell from the top of them. No injuries but still scary. The food is buffet style and is definitely not worth the $9.95 price tag (we had free vouchers from the cruise line company). All the food was mediocre and had the appearance of having come from a frozen bag.
I had a pretty good stay! The room was clean and we'll maintained, though dated. The service people were all friendly. The food in the buffet was limited but tasty. There is a pool and a small gym but I didn't get to use them. A 20 min drive to the beach is a bit long though.
