5 stars all the way! Hyatt Place of Universal Studios is my hotel of choice whenever I travel to Orlando. The manager and some of the staff know me from all the times I've stayed here. It is such a nice feeling when the staff is happy and remembers you the next time you stay in a hotel. I have had the most wonderful experience here. I have had issues but there is not a single affordable hotel that will be perfect and I doubt even the most exclusive hotels can offer that. Any experience I've had dulls in comparison to the amazing service and experience the hotel offers. I am being honest to anyone reading this because I was not sponsored nor paid to write this review. I use reviews to base most of my expenses and love hearing no bs straightforward reviews. This is one of those. You won't regret staying at the Hyatt Place On Caravan Ct. in Orlando. 12-13-17
The customer service here is EXCEPTIONAL! Jorge in particular was outstanding and made my trip amazing. He went above and beyond to help us out and make my stay impeccable! I can't wait to come back and stay here. Hyatt is amazing no matter where I have been. However, this one in particular was outstanding!!!
First off, the staff is nice. I have no complaints with personnel. Other than they gave us a room right next to a construction site that starts working at 6:00 am (yes, Saturday and Sunday too!). I was never informed prior to my reservation either. I would have paid more to be able to sleep in the morning had I known.
Breakfast: The food sucks! Not only does it taste bland but, they remove everything 15 minutes before So hurry down to get your cardboard eggs! The layout makes getting food chaotic. They have ZERO trays to offer you if you want to bring food upstairs to your sleepy kids. I was offered an 8 × 11 cookie tray. Yes, a small ass baking tray.
Elevator: Takes an eternity! The panel looks all scratched, coming off the wall, and old.
Bedrooms: Not big. The bottom box of the bed looks stained and old.
Bathroom: Unbearably small And I am not a large person! Even my tiny 8 year old had issues closing the door. The door is placed maybe 1 inch away from the toilet bowl. A heavy person would need to stand in the tub to close the door. Also There was mold in the shower. I hate mold!
Vanity Area: The vanity/sink is placed directly in front of the beds. So the others can't watch TV in peace or sleep if you (like me) have to blow dry your hair.
Pool: The pool is small. Looks like a motel pool. It's supposed to be heated but, I can't verify that for sure.
Shuttle Busses: You have to get a "pass" to ride in the morning. Bring an umbrella because you have to stand in the corner of the street without a roof for the bus. After we knew this, we decided to take our car instead of getting wet in the rain.
Overall: I would not rent here again. Hotel is not up to par. Maybe I'll go stay at that hotel that kept me up with the construction At least it'll be new and there's no more room for more construction around it.
Not happy at all with our stay. We ended our trip a day early because of the hotel quality. Won't come back or recommend to anyone.
This was absolutely one of the best experiences I've had at a Hyatt Place. Staff was very pleasant and professional. Breakfast was outstanding. A special thanks to front desk supervisor Danny Carino!! He's definitely management material. Approachable, friendly and very professional demeanor. HE'S A KEEPER!!!!
Seemingly small and modest this is a very nice place to stay near by Universal Studios and the international Premium Outlets. Great great location. Super nice cozy place hasil nice breakfast restaurant and family-oriented service. Elegant and clean. Super nice and nuts so expensive
First the big pro to this hotel is the location which is right across the street from Universal Studios. Other than that we were very disappointed. The cleaning services must have forgotten to clean the bathroom prior to our arrival as there was hair in the shower and the towels located on a shelf in the shower had a used dried bar of soap laying on them. One of the towels had stains on them as well as stains on the bed sheets. Also when we arrived it appeared as though they were trying to dry a water leak right outside of our room as they had huge fans drying the carpet’s. Because of this I have a feeling there was mold (and/or tons of dust mites) as I haven’t had asthma issues in years but woke up wheezing every single night in this hotel. Definitely not stay here again as it felt old and dingy and certainly was not cleaned well. I did report this to the night stuff when we arrived and did not receive any apology. However, when checking out I did let Elizabeth know who apologized.
We went to this establishment on short notice while escaping hurricane Irma just a few day's ago. Nice clean spacious rooms, hdtv, mini fridge and comfy bed. The people and service was awesome! Next time we go to Orlando, we know exactly where we will be staying.
Service was extraordinarily fast and friendly, easily accessible location, not overly packed, quiet as well but still lots to do such as an exercise room, swimming pool, and a bar. Room was pretty large with a king bed. Small bathroom but not a big issue. Pool was very well kept too, very clean, plenty of towels, and other fun items around the pool like a balloon soccer ball and pool noodles. The hotel was also very clean every time I've came in and left. All in all, a very nice hotel that caters to every need for travelers.
Very nice and clean rooms. Helpful staff with on site Universal Studios concierge desk to arrange shuttles to the park. TGIF is next door to the hotel. Some construction going on to a new hotel next door but no big deal. It doesn't affect the Hyatt at all other than some construction cones on the road. Full breakfast with eggs, pancakes, fruits and more. It's also right across the highway from Universal Studios. Very family friendly. Our room attendant, Lourdes was incredible!!!!!! Room always beautiful when we returned in the evening.
The service was wonderful! I was surprised with cupcakes for my birthday by Shantell in my room after a night on the town! My 48th birthday was made very memorable! Everyone was nice and friendly! The breakfast was excellent wide variety to choose from. I plan on coming back in the near future! Oh the roomed lean and bed just right! Thanks for a wonderful vacation birthday celebration!
Very friendly staff and the complimentary breakfast is a bonus. It's a bit dated and as of May 2017 there is major construction surrounding the property. The cranes and building begins at 6:30 am. The pool is directly next to a construction site. Rooms are large and beds comfortable but it does need a face-lift.
Great location to the parks and lovely staff. The rooms are a nice size, but the bathroom is tiny. There is a lot of construction, so walking to Universal is a little difficult, but they have a shuttle so it's really no biggie.
Nice hotel, great location if going to Universal parks. Hotel offers free shuttle, but if those times don't fit your schedule, you can still walk (approx 1 mile on sidewalks). Complimentary breakfast was great. Everything seemed clean/well taken care of. Only complaint was the strange bathroom, clearly designed wrong - barely enough space to open the door around the toilet. Had to stand in small space between toilet & tub to get in an out , which was frustrating, but otherwise nice hotel.
Great location and amazing room.!! Location, breakfast, size of room, price are all amazing.!! Could not have gotten better. The hotel is a stones throw away from TGIF which is great for a quick bite . They provide a shuttle service to the neighborhood resorts which amazing as it helps saving time trying to get for a parking spot. Currently it might be a little confusing reaching the hotel as they have construction around minimizing the approach roads.!
The mattress is amazing to get great sleep.
