I loved my stay here. It is in bit higher cost range but being adjacent to Austin Convention Center & avaiability of complimentary breakfast are its most positive side. Complimentary breakfast is really sumptuous and good. It also has Gymnasium and Swimming pool for recreation. Rooms are very spacious, neat and clean. Room service is very regular. They also have facility of payable valet car parking service.

Came here for a weekend. Very friendly staff. Check in was a breeze. Room was very spacious which included 2 queen beds and a full couch. Channels on the TV we're abundant. Free breakfast in the morning was buffet style and for the cost it was great :). We had sausages and pancakes one day and another day there was potato hash. In addition there's cereal, oats, etc. Would stay here again. Thanks best part of the stay was the close proximity with all he downtown fun things like sixth street bars, dining establishments etc.

We stayed at the Hyatt Place on our wedding night, and they went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect! I had requested a bottle of champagne in the room, but we actually received one at the front desk, and ANOTHER in the room. We were also upgraded to the top floor with a better view. And to top it all off, there was a congratulations card in our room with several of the staff's signatures. We were thrilled that so much thought was put into a very special time for us. We'll be back for sure!!

Great location to downtown and walking distance to Austin nightlife. The room was clean and looked fantastic. The bed was comfy and we slept great. Only problem was no hotel parking unless you want to pay $37.00 for valet. I had to park two blocks over in a parking garage that cost 27.00.

Overall, good hotel and location. Right next to food, the trail by the river, and the convention center. Rooms are fantastic with a suite-like feel. Good intentions, which is important. Only downside was the shower water pressure. Hot water came out of tap at a trickle, shower head compensated but it was still weird.

Came to Austin on a girls trip for my birthday weekend. The night clerk Demont and the night chef Ortega were very hospitable and took good care of us. The valets were excellent and prompt. Great weekend!

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was friendly. One staff member forgot to give me a conference pass upon check in, but she came to my room as soon as she realized. The valet was also friendly and helpful. Great place to stay in downtown Austin, walking distance to the convention center.

Great rooms with a sleeper sofa which is a nice added touch. Rooms have a fridge but no microwave. TVs are not HD on every channel and actually fuzzy on some channels. Breakfast is really nice, though it could use another addition or two like a waffle iron. Hotel has great security as elevators will not access room floors without scanning your room key.

Fantastic staff and location. Very clean, the room is modern and relatively spacious. Internet speed was well above average for a hotel and the shower, a walk-in vs tub, had excellent water pressure. 10/10 would recommend.

I stay at several Hyatt's across the country, roughly 18-20 weeks a year. This one is definitely high on my lists of places to stay. Easy access to everything downtown, close to the highway, plenty of food options and their own bar and pool. Can't go wrong here.

Nice location and good breakfast is about the only perks of this place. Parking is $31+ per night for valet. The room itself couldn't maintain a consistent temperature and would swing from hot to cold with just a change of 1 degree on the thermostat. Mini fridge in the room was broken. Also was awoken several times in the middle of the night by other guests and by odd noises in the room (grumblings from the AC unit it seemed but wasn't sure). Overall pretty disappointed in my experience as otherwise it appears to have a lot of potential to be a great hotel for people to stay.

This is a nice hotel, but we had so many problems during our stay I couldn't give more than 3 stars. First they couldn't find my reservation during check-in. A few hours later they checked in another couple to the same room. We were sleeping inside the room when the other couple tried to get into our room thinking it was empty (luckily I had the lock on). I went outside to sort it out and after that my key wasn't working because obviously they deactivated during the confusion. Other than that my room wasn't cleaned two days in a row and I had to complain to get it cleaned. We tried to use the pool, but there were a bunch of guys drinking and smoking in the pool (this is a non smoking hotel). The breakfast was overcrowded and the buffet was constantly missing food. I only gave 3 stars because the room is really nice (spacious, modern and comfortable)

This property nicely suited my needs in Austin - it is centrally located downtown, the rooms were clean, and the staff was terrific. This is not a luxury property so don't check-in with those expectations. Rooms were very spacious but this is not a property where you will be spending your time enjoying the amenities (or lack thereof). Breakfast is complimentary (and had a variety of decent options) but finding seating proved difficult on a Sunday morning. Overall, this hotel was completely satisfactory.

The Hyatt Place is a great hotel. Clean, quiet. Very close to the convention center. The service had been very good so far. They have an excellent breakfast (eggs, bacon, French toast, pancakes, fresh juice, coffee) included in your stay. It was a great start to my day.

I was here for a wedding. On my way out of the lobby in full formal garb, the sole of my shoe fell off. I didn't have long, but a member of their maintenance team was there trying to help me fix it before I even had the chance to ask. The room and usual amenities were great, but the above and beyond service really put it over the top.
