What a great venue to watch a concert! Sight lines are greatbalcony first few rows have you practically on top of the performanceeasy access to concessions. Cool vibe and great service in the VIP room too.

I LOVE this venue. The physical layout is very accommodating. The balcony seats are up high, but feel relatively close to the stage. And the GA floor feels equally close. The stage elevation is right in the middle of both, which provides a fantastic closeness from anywhere in the building! Security good. Bar tenders busy. Restrooms ok clean. 1 ticket checker lady was kind of a gash, but eh. Most everyone else is cool.

Excellent service, had the jambalaya definitely worth adding the shrimp! Very tasty.
The house band was on point only complaint was that they would play a song and seemed like they would take long breaks, between songs. Music itself was great, no issues.
Casual dining and definitely will consider going back.

Decent venue for most shows. Staff has always been professional and courteous. I have not ever eaten there so i can't say. The only thing i would suggest is that chairs along the wall for general admission people would be a blessing.

My first visit to House of Blues and l will be going back. The receptionists we courteous, the atmosphere was amazing, the DJ was excellent and the food was unbelievable. My Chopped BBQ Beef Sandwich was huge and very tasty and the fries were delicious. We were in the restaurant part of the building. I enjoyed all of the performances, too. I especially enjoyed the songstress Gabrielle Hill and The Gabrielle Experience. That young lady was on fire as she serenaded the crowd! She is definitely a name you want to remember because she is a crowd pleaser. We had a great night.

Came to see the Prince cover band yesterday. The observer said the show was free, I called to check and see if that was true and the man in the phone said it was. I got to the ticket office and the employee said it wasn’t free. I said I had read on the observer that it was and I called to check and she said “don’t worry about it.” And gave us the tickets! What a sweetheart! Great show, beautiful venue!

We went there for dinner and a drink and were literally the only people in the whole restaurant during the last hour of happy hour. Got our drinks and ordered food - 1hr later, after seeing a handful of employees come from the kitchen with burgers, fries and flatbread, the bartender comes back to tell us they didn't make our meal because the fryer was being cleaned. Obviously a lie, since we saw employees eating food with fries. Find it crazy that we were the only customers in the whole restaurant and didn't even get served before all the employees - we paid for the drinks and skipped the food after we were told it wasn't even being made after a full hour of waiting. Everyone was off on the side eating food by the bar, many of them noticing we were done with our drinks and just waiting, yet didn't say a word to us.

General admission downstairs is SRO, first come, first served. Upstairs in assigned seating, which is nice if you don't wanna stand the whole time, or are short (I've been caught behind some tall dudes downstairs before). There are separate bars and bathrooms on both levels (you MUST have a ticket for a seat upstairs to go up). It's a nice venue because it's not too big. You can clearly hear the acts wherever you are. The people seem pretty nice here. If you are the designated driver, your drinks are free, ask the bartender for options.

Saw Foster the People here. I loved the funky atmosphere and decor. I also appreciate the intimately small size of the music hall. We had excellent service by the staff as we entered and at the bar. I was impressed by the efficiency of their line process to get through security and inside. The concert came off like a well oiled machine and the sound was impressive. I will definitely be coming back in the future!

I've been to five or six shows here this Summer alone and I'm always impressed with the venue. The downstairs area has three large bar areas and a beer cart, so I've never had to wait long to get a cocktail or beer. Cocktails are surprisingly affordable for a music venue, and the price of beer is about what you'd expect. My double shots of Maker's Mark currently cost $13, and a 24oz. domestic beer is $12.

There is always plenty of security at the shows and the events feel safe and well organized. Metal detectors and wands are outside the entrance and there is an abundance of security inside the venue.

The acoustics are fine, and the in house stage lights are fantastic.

This is a great place to see concerts and is always a much better experience than the fair park amphitheater -- it is obviously much, much smaller. Sign up for their mailing list and you may even receive up to six free tickets to their less popular shows.

Very good experience. Nice ambience with good music. Had a minor mishap with an appetizer but the management (Josh) was very accommodating. The salmon and shrimp and grits were delicious. A good place for a night out.

I went to see the Asia on Tour and it was a wonderful experience. The organization was great and the place was secure. Unfortunately, i did not get to taste the food but their beverages were good. My friends and i had a great time and we parked right behind the venue. Around the area is very bright even at midnight hours. Overall wonderful experience.

Great place. Love the music and the setting is right. Foundation Room is the bomb! Parking is a challenge, but valet is available. Good grub and strong service.

Nice and popular place to catch live music, spacious dancefloor, and easy to see the stage. The downside is the way overpriced drinks and beers. I am talking $13 for a 24oz domestic beer, in a CAN. Shots were anywhere from $6 wells to $12 brand names. Ridiculous. Also, the bathrooms were pretty filthy. No attendant. No dress code, so people were dressed however casual they wanted, which in some cases was a bad thing. For the prices we paid, I can't see why it was so expensive here. There was absolutely nothing luxurious or upscale about this place at all. They do book some great talent though, so check the events for your favorite artists and bands. Just hit the bar and pre-game before you come here or be prepared to spend a lot of money on drinks.

As a music venue, HOB is hard to beat. Great stage, excellent atmosphere, outstanding bartenders. Even better is that you can go to your show early and grab a bite to eat in the front house restaurant. They have live music on the weekend and really great signature cocktails. The food is pretty standard, but the atmosphere, music, and convenience make up for anything in the normal related to the food. We hit it up every time we go to see a show.

Worst service ever for the concert tonight. I biked from Plano to see my friends band play. I asked the very tall general manager chick to stow away my bike until the show ended. NOPE! So I had to get the band to put my bike in their car. Then she told me she wouldn't stow away my backpack. So I had the band hold that as well. Then she decided to not let me in for no reason at all even though I had a ticket.

WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HOB. The Bomb Factory is here for a reason. HOB is a relic of a better time. Now they are all in it for the $$$$.

Will be boycotting and contacting HOB corporate I do not deserve to be treated like this.

Its cool. HOB sound sucks anyways. Good luck HOB you lost a patron.

My first time to HOB Dallas and paid for the most expensive balcony seat but realized I wasn't going to be close enough to my favorite band! Discovered you can be short and stand up by the stage and still see the band great because they are up high! So next time I will purchase the much cheaper "standing room only" ticket. Found there to be plenty of bars with very friendly and efficient bartenders. I think there were 3 bars just surrounding the stage, so there was no waiting in line for drinks. Drinks were strong, even though a little pricy. Ate dinner in the very busy restaurant beforehand, was very, very good! Parked under Hard Rock Cafe across the street, $5.00. WIN!
