Good place, nice and helpful staff. They do a really nice job.
A friend and I stayed here in January 2017. The staff we met were so nice and we felt welcome inside. The door is locked at night for security and windows open to allow a nice cross breeze. There's a Wendy's and gas station within walking distance I felt safe walking to even after dark. Took a car service every morning and night to and from the beach and used the hotel to store food and sleep. The beds were amazing! I'll try and stay here again next time I go down to Miami.
Only complaint is the location isn't the best but you're not going to be robbed the second you go outside or anything but the pricing makes up for that pretty well
This hotel is fake. They dump the customer and make the money from the webside. I was booked the hotel and was gone for check in. The hotel was under renovation. I asked for the check in. they simply refused the booking and did not returned my money. Really shame full for miami. How people are doing like this.
Affordable price in this hotel, accessible for people who have vehicles, and very approachable staff
Friendly desk clerk when I checked in, room left some to be desired.
Very small, cramped restroom supplied with 2 towels and no washcloths for bathing.
Television would not change channels.
Awakened at 7AM to the sound of someone beating on another rooms door hollering they were security and demanding to enter that room.
Basic, not glam. Serve purpose as a place to sleep. Watch for hidden fees
At first look I didn't like so much But the first impression goes out when I entered. Amazing staff and a cute, clean and comfortable room. This is a very good hotel for the price.
Maintence needs to be approved.tv did not have no sound and yet alone the remote control was not presentbathroom is very small sheets on the bed still had pieces of hair in them..The door to the room was hard to open
Love this place the management help me out real good very friendly I will stay there again
This is your basic, bare bones minimum hotel. It feels more like a hostel and not an actual hotel. There are NO ice machines, NO vending machines, or any other basic amenities. You are renting a room with a bed and t.v. that's it. One towel per room, no matter how many people were on the reservation.
The night manager is super nice, as is the house keeping staff. The daytime management didn't seem like they wanted to be bothered. And would barely even set down the phone to speak with you. It is centrally located in miami, with easy access to all points of town though. But if you are looking for more than just a bed to sleep in, this is not the spot for you!
I have never been more disappointed in a hotel than with Hotel Mimo. I can't understand why they have 3.2 stars when it's not even worth 1. From the moment I drove through the back alley to the small, dark parking lot I should've been wary. The lobby is small but clean which betrays what you'll see as soon as you hit the stairs (yes, stairs there are no elevators). The room key is an actual key, which can be easily duplicated. But nothing prepared me for the stairs! They were so dirty that instead of the navy blue they were intended to be they were a dingy brown/black. There were holes and tears on almost every step up to the third floor and stains everywhere. Once I entered the room I quickly realized there were almost no linens save for the ones on the beds. I had to trek back down the 3 flights of stairs to request some towels and rags because there was no phone in the room to call the front desk. Although there weren't any hangers in the walk-in closet, I must admit the room and bathroom were clean if not a little dated. It came with 2 double beds with white sheets, a small flat screen tv mounted on the wall and a mini-fridge. Before I left for the day I requested someone come clean my room since I was told at check-in it wasn't an automatic service and needed to be requested. When I came back that evening it still hadn't been cleaned. The final straw was when I asked for a late check-out (check-out is at 11 but I needed to leave at 12) and was told that it would cost $20 for every extra hour! The hotel is by no means "booked" and I have never been in an establishment that charges for late check-out if rooms are available. Needless to say this will be the last time I stay here and I would never recommend anyone waste their money here either.
