Rooms excellent, comfy and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere, great food. We would recommend staying here. Lisa n Sean

Rooms are spacious but lacking in maintenance. I wasn't very happy, as an Hhonors Diamond member, to get a room outside of the main building, with an exterior entrance in front of a lake. The were so many mosquitoes!
The breakfast gets 1 star. Eggs were terrible and every time I tried to get coffee (4 times in three days) they only had decaf. Not enough utensils (had to wait several minutes to get a fork) and overall bad quality food.
Did not interact much with front desk but the one conversation I had was very professional and pleasant.response / report this review -

I really enjoyed the hotel. The rooms were great! The breakfast was okay, but they were out of half of the offerings and there wasn't much to have. I left a shirt in the room by accident and called the next day and no one ever called me back about it.

The room was very clean, spacious, and homey, but what really makes this hotel special is the amazing staff. I just moved to Charlotte, and a problem with the apartment I was supposed to move into turned a one-night stay into a week-long one, which would have been a horrible way to start life in a new place if not for the kindness of the Homewood staff. They went above and beyond not only to accommodate me and my mom during our unexpected stay but also to be friendly and helpful every chance they got. They gave me so much advice and encouragement about my move, it honestly made the fiasco with my apartment worth it.

Hotel was very comfortable and the staff was incredible. We had to stay here for several days due to a flooded house. The staff made our stay very tolerable considering all we have been through. We can't thank them enough. The room feels like an apartment.

The room is excellent. Lots of space and it feels like an apartment with a separate kitchen, living area, bathroom and bedroom. Nice large TV's. The bed is surprisingly comfortable. The breakfast isn't very good. That's the only complaint I have. There is a nice lake on premises and they are very pet friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Concept of two bedrooms is fantastic! Lakeview breeds mosquitoes. Was woken up by next door guests (could actually make out every word) at 4 a.m. and above guest at 5:30 walking above very noisy. Room appeared clean, didn't feel clean. Eggs at breakfast were appalling! Waffles good, coffee too. Staff was pleasant.

Staff was great for the most part. Helpful in some areas. Breakfast staff is amazing, very helpful. Claim to have surveillance and security. Stayed the week May 14 thru 19 2017 truck got vandalized overnight along with 3 others. All hotel had to say was we are sorry, Charlotte police sucked just as bad wasn't of their concern since I wasn't sitting in hotel lot. Security team for hotel was just like we will have extra surveillance that night, was to late for that after it had already happened the night before.

Clean room. Good Breakfast. Great location. We stayed for 5 days. The last day our air wasn't working and they credit us the full day and changed our room. Although one of the AC units still wasn't working. Room service is Amazing!

My parents are in town visiting for a week and staying at this hotel. I love the area and set up, there is a nice lake near the room my parents were staying in that was very peaceful. They had a hard time in the beginning because all the burners to the stove of their first room did not work and the second room they were given did not have a phone. The third room was nice but then the maid forgot to give them a bedsheets and they only had a comforter. The manager DID kindly fix all of the problems.

What I loved: The staff. They blew my mind. The night desk manager did everything right and was very professional, courteous, and sincere. The next shift was just as good. The breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns - all piping hot and fresh. Waffles, yogurt with fresh fruit, Oatmeal, bagels. What's not to love? What I didn't love: The guests above us seemed to be up all night and heavy walkers. There also seemed to be a teenage girl party right outside our window, though I couldn't find anyone around. The rooms were just remodeled and while comfortable and clean, the doors weren't aligned properly (couldn't close without slamming), the bedroom mirrors were cracked badly, and the living room phone didn't have a dial tone. All told, I loved the service, but not the accommodations.

We only stayed at this hotel for one night but I could've stayed all week! It was really clean, no stuffy room smell, well thought out ( tons of towels in the bathroom instead of the standard 3) full kitchen and nice sitting area! The staff were super friendly and personable! The beds were comfy! Really soft sheets! The only change I would make is to have a wider shade on the window the room was a little lighter than typically found in hotel rooms.Very convenient to food and shopping. I've stayed in a lot of hotel rooms and a wide variety of chains and I would stay here again in a heart beat!
