Jump island!! Fabulous to keep the kids entertained for over 3 hours. Took my grandkids and they just had a blast. Beware when you go in the evening when the Sun starts to go down they close part of jump Island. there are very few kids and they do not want to pay someone to watch that area even though you've paid for the full 3 hours. There are just two or three things closed on jump Island.

Nice and clean and far enough from Flint to keep it from turning into a Flint style disaster. They have the floating fun diving jumping station thing if that's what you're into as well. I just wish they'd let us shoot all the seagulls. I hate seagulls.

Beautiful park! Very nice camp sitesall appear to have pads. Most, but not all, would be suitable for a tent. Good hiking trails. Nice beach.

This Place Is Awesome For You and your kids there Halloween Trick or treating is the best the reason i gave it a 4 star was because we went when it was raining oh and there is a playground for kids if you want to go camping go here 😁

Great spot to stay and go to the renaissance festival! Nice hiking trails and one of the most shaded state park camping areas I've ever been to. However, do not plan on getting much sleep. Every time we've been, there's been extremely rowdy crowds up passed 3am, making it difficult to sleep.

We stayed here during the Renaissance Festival. We called kind of last minute and they were able to accommodate us. It was okay well kept looking Campground with a variety of people. The spots are nice and large we were in a 40 foot RV and had no problems finding or fitting in a spot. We only stayed one night but it was a good experience overall

Very beautiful camping area at Trillium Loop. Dense woods. Bathrooms are further away than they look on map because there are wooded areas in between camp sites. Not a lot to do but nice if you like the woods. I would have loved having water hook up so I only gave it 4 stars.

Lots of secluded sites in the woods if you like privacy or open areas great for groups. Nice sturdy fire rings lined with concrete. Roads and blacktop pedal pads are in good condition as are the bathroom/shower facilities. Bathrooms/shower houses are spaced very far apart.

Great place for day hikes, hanging out at the beach with family, and bird watching.
I often use Holly as my base for road bike rides in the area. Plenty of punchy hills and a good mix of paved and dirt roads.
The trail system has a good mix of terrain making it ideal for walks with the family song the lakes or a shake down hike for that week long backpacking trip.response / report this review -

The 6 mile long wilderness trail through the lush green forest was a relaxing experience on a Saturday morning. We also crossed a lake on the way. We heard the melodious sounds of many birds around the whole forest which was very calming in itself.

We LOVE Holly Recreation so much that this campground is our go to spot! We not only love to camp, but also kayak! Nice quiet park, although families camp with their kids, you don't hear kids screaming & being out of control.The bathroom/showering facilities are very nice & the park is maintained. It is nice to see many of the same faces (park employees), year after year! Feels like your up north!

This campground has an 'up north' feel, and is just minutes away from most people in the Detroit Metro area. I greatly prefer the Trillium Loop, as it has beautiful, tall Oak trees and a good amount of space between the sites. The bath house in that area was rebuilt from scratch only 1-2 years ago, and the road and all sites are new asphalt as well.

Stayed in the cabins three separate times for a family overnight. Always clean. Located right on the lake next to a trail loop. Kids enjoyed the hike in nature.
