First time. Enjoyed it a lot. My only issue is leaving smelling like grill Do wear something you don't mind having to wash as soon as you get home!!!!

Awesome steaks you can cook yourself. No worries on it not being the way you like it. Clam chowder is homemade and fabulous!

Great place! The food is delicious. You get to cook your own steak. And the steak sauce is amazing. The sweet potato fries comes with caramel sauce and it’s so delicious. The ice cream is so great also.

Love this location but PLEASE get new hostesses. They’re never welcoming or never even have a smile on their faces. I had to approach the stand and greet them first since they said not one word to me. It’s a really bad first impression walking into this establishment. Especially on a busy Friday night when you actually want people to wait the 45 minute wait to eat here. Other than that this place is great.

Service was fantastic. Food was delicious and our group of 10 all left happy. The wait was worth it. I give it a 6 out of 5. Definitely a top place to eat in my book

The lava rock idea is a unique feature that gives customers excitement in addition to the power of cooking a steak to the desired level. The food is also delicious. This place is very popular, and just like any popular place, the wait lines can easily be an hour to two hours, especially on weekends.

First time there on September 30.
I have to say it ruined me for any other steak House.
Nobody else compares to the deliciousness they bring to the table.
The sauces combined with cooking your own steak were amazing.
Being able to have a hot bite on every bite of steak was remarkable. I'll be waiting for them to open a location in Lansing hopefully soon.response / report this review -

To rate as a 5☆, there needs to be a true exceptional experience. The staff, cleanliness, selection, expertise, politeness, and the food were amazing. To have your needs and wants catered to in a quick manner that isn't overbearing allows for a dining experience that is rare.

Been here twice and it was a great experience each time. Cook your own steak or fish! It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for and the rest of the food selection is excellent too. It is usually busy here during dinner and especially around the holidays.

Food is exceptional. Service was spot on. The lobster bisque is served with the lobster claw. Crab cakes were pretty good, but just a bit bland served very little sauce and there are only 2 and not very big. The steaks are fabulous. They recently changed their menu. Prices went up and portion sizes went down, but the food is great. I love the zip sauce. They were out of the 2 desserts we wanted, so we tried the funnel fondue. The raspberry sauce was my favorite.

We frequent Black Rock. This is an amazing place. Very nice to get your food and cook it while you eat. I've eaten just about everything and really like everything. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the Lasagna (just not my style).

Good food, nice concept with the rock. Horrible ability to schedule you for a meal though. One time we had reservations, but when we got there it was going to be almost an hour wait. Another time we had no reservations, and they told us it would be 1.5 hours. No problem, except after 1.5 hours they had "lost" our name off the list. It was another 15 min. before we were seated. Just seems totally disorganized. But the steak and side dishes are excellent.
