Great price, location and shuttle (besides it closes early) clean with friendly staff

The room was clean and the staff was courteous. I stayed after seeing a show at DTE Energy Theater, and the location was convenient, only an easy 20 minute drive. My biggest complaint was the rather large spider I found in my bed! Not the kind of thing you enjoy seeing at 1am.

Overall, not bad. The room was clean, and pretty comfortable, except for the bed. There was a ridge around the sides that was hard and the mattress sunk about 0.5" beside it. Getting in and out of the bed was uncomfortable.

Worst example of an HIE that I've run into in the U.S. The rooms are relatively updated but the staff is not helpful at all, they never have green tea at breakfast, if you don't wake up at the crack of dawn there never is any breakfast, and you can't even pay for anything from the snack bar with credit cards. Additionally it's fairly telling that they sell condoms in the lobby and I found 2 boxes of them in my room. Ugh. Far from scary, but wouldn't ever stay here again. And the stay got worse after new neighbors checked in that never stopped chain smoking.

Room was nice, location was perfect. The breakfast wasn't very good however. All the juices tasted funny and my daughter even commented on the water not tasting right.

If I could rate less than one star I would in a heartbeat. Stayed here for a wedding, decided last minute if the price wasn't to high I would cancel my room, called to check rates for cancellation and found out the price would be the same cost of the room so I decided to not cancel and told the manager I would be there that evening.
Show up that evening and the manager at the desk says "sorry your room is cancelled and somebody else is staying in it" in shock I tried to explain to the woman the situation and she did not care. Ended up getting a room with one king bed for the evening (with three adults) because they no longer had any rooms with two queen beds. Needless to say the service and the management staff at this hotel is absolutely horrible! The morning shift manager is rude, inconsiderate, and will loose this hotel chain more business than she can Imagine. I would recommend any hotel over this place, any day of the week! If your getting married, and plan on having a block of hotel rooms, definitely avoid this place at all costs! And if your traveling from out of state, stay somewhere where the management cares about the customers and staff! I can't rant enough about how this place ruined my weekend! On top of all this, they charged my debit card and credit card

I spend over 200 nights a year in hotels and this hotel is the best I have stayed at in over a year. Top notch staff, helpful and friendly. Very clean and incredibly quiet. Comfy beds and good shower flow with lots of hot water. I'll be sorry to check out.

Quiet, clean, cheap, friendly environment, and overall perfect environment for kids, family and small events. Nice area around hotel. There's a supermarket, meijer within a minute, a movie theater 15 minutes away, and laser tag and other fun activities not much farther away. Good area to be in for a weekend trip.

Please note that I did not stay in this hotel, I was trying to block off rooms for our wedding. Took over a week to get room rates back, information I was given over the phone and then what I received in an email were completely different, they got our reception places mixed up, etc. Huge waste of time. The only reason I am even going on here to leave this review is because I know how stressful it is to deal with a wedding and this should have been an easy party. Instead they wasted my time and now I am stressed trying to find another hotel. Thanks for nothing Holiday Inn Sh***y Customer Service!!! Just don't bother with this place!

The hotel certainly uphold the image of an IHG hotel. The facilities are well maintained and the staff is very friendly. The management and staff bring a hometown atmosphere into the hotel. The location is great, right near M-59 making access to nearby attractions easier. I would highly recommend this location
