We have be booking with this hotel for the past 3 years as a school group. This year I called more times than I can count to reserve our rooms. I left numerous voicemails when connected to a group sales number. Eventually, the voice mail box was full every time I called, and I would then call back and left numerous messages with the front desk. NO ONE EVER returned my calls. Yesterday, I called once again and, before I can even finish my sentence, I was cut off by the woman working at the desk who abruptly and rudely informed me the hotel was full during the dates we are coming. There was no apology over the way I had been treated or how poorly my situation had been handled. She clearly didn't care one bit. I asked if I could speak to someone about my experience over the past month and half. She just repeated they were booked. She did this 3 more times before I had to just hang up. The hotel itself is a nice hotel, but the customer service I have experienced over the past 3 years, especially this year, has been nothing but disrespectful and frustrating. I guess when your hotel is booked you can just be rude to people. We will never book with this hotel again!

This was a horrible place to stay. Marijuana smell entire hotel, unsafe environment. No amenities. Noisy, overcharged and had to pay for parking and then sign posted not responsible for vehicle safety. 4.5 rating is incorrect. Not kid safe at all. Staff not acommondating.

The day manager tried to extort us for $100 cash for an unsubstantiated smoking charge. Needless to say, we didn't stay there. However, we were only refunded $100 of our $328 bill. This is a sketchy location with security officers on site and even sketchier guests.

Shower water pressure left a bit to be desired, lots of outside noise was audible in my room, and the mini fridge started leaking. However, the rooms have a lovely little sitting area and mini kitchen, and the staff were very friendly, cheerful, and professional.

The rooms are moderate size, but still suitable. The bathroom is spacious. The complimentary breakfast is delicious. There's free internet of course. Plus an indoor pool. Only downside is the view, but that's something you can't change.

Booked this hotel using reward points, and was a little nervous about all that going through properly, but this place handled it well! Good breakfast, clean pool and workout room, and even some nice outdoor space. Nothing too out of the ordinary in the room — clean, comfortable, a/c worked great. The shower water pressure was also perfect every time.

What really makes this place stand out is the shuttle service, which runs to Union Station in the morning and evening, 6:15, 7:15, & 8:15. This puts you within walking distance of the national mall and all the surrounding attractions.

The only reason for the deduction of one star is the location, which doesn't seem too be all that bad when coming in from Maryland, but the shuttle route reveals that you're not too far from the crime-stricken areas of the city. Still, the place feels adequately secure and you shouldn't have a problem with that. Better neighborhoods exist though, but you won't find better amenities.
