Would give them a five star plus. The area is shady but the hotel is exceptionally clean considering the building is aging. The rooms are updated, a comfortable size and very clean. They include a brunch served by a young lady named Berlin. The selection changes each morning and is well prepared and tasty. They offer a complimentary massage and complimentary transportation, our driver was Jessie and he was very accommodating, to local sites within a four mile radius. If the distance is further the subway for seniors is only 35 cents and it is only a block away. They offer ice cream, popcorn, cookies and lemonade for later in the day. The real asset is Aida and the others on the front desk. They are pleasant and accommodating making your stay there enjoyable. When we had to leave on Christmas Eve, they got us a limo to the airport for the cost of a cab. It is the staff of this Holiday Inn that make staying there a pleasure.

Love love love this hotel. Complimentary food down in the lobby day and night. Complimentary massage. Big jacuzzi tub addition for the bathroom only a $20 add on! Friendly staff, too. Decor is a little dated but honestly I find it hard to complain about that.

I am still in my room as I type this. I really enjoy this property. Staff is super helpful and friendly. It’s not in the best neighborhood but it’s very centrally located in Los Angeles. The hotel itself is safe, parked my car in the basement while I during my stay here, no issues whatsoever other that they charge for parking. The new beds are super comfortable, the room was clean, bathroom clean as well. The water pressure could be stronger, but now I am just nit-picking. Great management here, what a great job you’ve done with this property! Thank you!

I just want to say thank you to the staff and manager Shana. My daughter recently left her wallet in the room and I was pleasantly surprised at the honesty and integrity of the hotel staff. Not only was the wallet turned into the manager, it was sent to our home with everything still inside inside,including the cash and credit cards. Thanks again for the great customer service Andrea Gonzales

My Mom and I stayed in this hotel this past week, the staff is amazing especially Dennis!! The hotel is clean and well kept the parking is FREE something you just don't find in Downtown L.A. The beds were so comfortable and our room was huge (we got the suite). They have free breakfast and one night they had free snacks and wine. They also have free ice cream every night. I felt totally comfortable and safe. I've stayed at other hotels in Downtown and yes they are big and beautiful hotels (that cost almost double) but they didn't impress me near as much as this one. I will not be staying anywhere else but here from now when I have to come to the downtown area. The hotel even offers complimentary massages and Nicole was amazing 😀. And to anyone saying the neighborhood is scary or bad your in Downtown L.A. would you expect anything different?? I honestly didn't see any scary people around the hotel at all, yes the streets are noisy and dirty but again your in Downtown L.A. So I will say it again we had the best experience here they treated us like royalty thank you ❤❤❤

People will be unkind to this location because of the rough neighborhood (and it is), but if you need somewhere nice and affordable in the area, this is the place to stay. The building was very secure, updated, and comfortable. Our room had all the amenities you expect from a Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast was made well and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We were in town for a concert at Dodger Stadium nearby and the hotel's complimentary shuttle saved us money getting there, which we appreciated. Parking was very convenient on property. If you have concerns about safety, know that access to the elevator requires a room key, so it's very unlikely anyone can get upstairs to cause problems.

Nice place. Had dinner and drinks and tried out the bed and shower. Got very dirty and then cleaned up nicely. Great fluffy towels and bathmat. Hope the maid wasnt missed too much for those heavenly thirteen minutes.

The hotel from hell. Drug addicts and homeless people outside our window. No elevator. It was broken and had to stay on the 4th floor. No breakfast or coffee. Was afraid to leave the room. They know about the neighbor hood as they supply ear plugs in the room. Never again!!

The rooms are fine and the staff was friendly enough. The location has little to be desired. My room over looked a dilapidated house that was in need of demolition, a vacant lot and an alley. I saw people sleeping in the vacant lot everyday, and a lot of garbage in the alley (a couple of mattresses and other junk). It could be a 3 or 4 star place except the location is not good.

Breakfast is good. Staff is nice and friendly. Bathroom is small though. So is TV. But most important thing for us is that it's quiet at night.
