Valet parking only but it was very quick and professional. The winds knocked the power out my first night and there was no hot water in my room. The staff didn't seem totally sure of what to do with the power out. No hot breakfast (obviously). Other than that it was pretty typical. Except for the water being turned off each day for renovation work.
It's fine. Room is clean, housekeeping, valets, and front desk staff are nice and friendly enough. Breakfast and milk and cookies are included. One of the elevators is down right now, which isn't a big deal except the stairs exit directly outside. you need the room key to get into the stairwell and then onto the floor from the stairwell before finally needing to use the key for your room at the room itself. When you are juggling items it gets old really fast. Or you can wait for the one elevator which seems to take awhile, but I never timed it. Also they don't sell any alcohol in the pantry area but other than that it is has been better stocked than the last two Hilton properties I've been at. It looked like they had two different types of laundry soap!
Stayed at a Wyndham hotel right after this, and liked this Hampton better. Very close to Universal, 20 min drive with little traffic, about $12 Lyft ride each way. Somewhat awkward location, but right off freeway. No option for free parking. Decent breakfast, and while rooms sure their age a little, still very comfortable and very friendly service. Free airport shuttle.
Usual great beds and showers, breakfast was well cared for. Amazing outdoor noise reduction Even though the hotel is right next to a heavy traffic (24/7) freeway, you can't hear it at all. Only downside is parking is valet only. They say you can park on local side streets, but there really isn't much of that available.
Comfortable room and helpful staff. Despite being near a busy highway the room was relatively quiet. Around 20 minutes drive from universal studios. Can purchase universal studio tickets from front desk. Complimentary breakfast. Valet parking for extra fee around $18 per night.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Quiet room, staff was helpful to the max, sending the free airport shuttle for us after we returned our rental car the night before our flight and taking us to the airport the next day. And the included breakfast is always appreciated.
I loved my stay at this hotel. The staff was professional, courteous and very informative. Valet service was excellent. The cleaning staff went beyond their regular duties. My room was clean and fresh for all nine days. Their buffet was cultural based but still had something for everyone. Darrel the attendant, kept the food stocked and the area clean. I used the fitness room as well as the laundry room, clean and organized. They even have a water dispenser in the lobby, it also contained cucumbers and lemon. The cookies and milk in the evening were great!!! I would definitely go back if I'm in the area, fantastic!!!
Great little hotel with reasonable valet. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Clean and convenient and quiet.
Was disappointed to find that there was only basket parking at this Hampton. The location is a little tricky to get into from a busy street. The staff is pleasant, the layout is standard, nothing special, the beds at this location are surprisingly hard. Hampton Hotels usually are the most comfortable but this one was an exception and have a restless night sleep. The shooter pressure was fair but this is one Hampton I'll most likely skip next time I fly out of Burbank airport.
Stayed here for two nights while visiting Universal Studios. It was about 15 - 20 minutes to Universal, but only about 5 minutes to the Burbank airport. No freeways were needed to get to either one. We stayed in a king suite. We were in a corner room and the room was huge. The bathroom was a good size. There was a kitchenette with refrigerator, sink & microwave. There was also a desk and a sitting area with a couch & armchair. The bed was very comfortable and the linens, including the duvet cover, appeared to be washed for every guest. While the hard surface and linens appeared to be clean, there was a huge stain in the middle of the room that I'm sure would only be solved by having the carpet replaced. Breakfast was fine, but very busy & crowded. Parking was by valet only, but they were very fast & efficient.
Well, the stay itself was very nice, and the room was clean. The mattress was also soft, which I've found to be rare in hotels over the years. My family drove out to LA in a rental car, and thank goodness we did. My 2 star rating comes from the fact that the valet service of the hotel lost our rental car. I'm not kidding, it was nowhere to be found, and I'm not sure they ever found it. Thankfully we got the extra insurance through Enterprise, otherwise it would have been really bad. Also, thankfully the cameras outside the hotel were not just for show, because if they weren't there, it would have been our word against theirs. We then had to sit in the lobby for 4+ hours waiting for them to get everything settled and get us a replacement car so we could go home. So, the room and service was 9/10, but the overall stay was 0/10. I'm sure our experience was unique, but either way, it should still be mentioned that this happened.
The Good: The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The lobby was very nice with cookies and milk each night, which was a nice treat for the kids. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. Even on the freeway side of the hotel it was quiet.
The Bad: Valet parking with no option to self park. I understand the desire to avoid accidents and ensure parking works in a small area, but I don't have to like it.
The Ugly: There wasn't anything I would call ugly.
