Roaches in the room, the renovated rooms only have new flooring and showers. There's a bad odor in 5he rooms, THE MATTRESSES ARE VERY BAD, HARD AND BOUNCY, THEY ARE RECYCLED NOT NEW, THE 0HONES DON'T WORK,5HE THREE CHAIRS ARE HEAVILY STAINED, there's stripping off the table, the furniture has many scratches, common areas not well maintained, huge amounts of debris in and around the property. Not worth the restless in convenience, go to the airport locations, AMERICAN BRANDS not theses hotels which are Shady motels.

Newly renovated. It's nice. My room's TV wasn't connected to cable and was awkwardly placed. The elevator's inspection certificate expired in 2013. Good place for the price.

It’s better than it looks. Good bed, large rooms, and friendly people. Close to the beach!

Recently renovated and surprisingly comfortable and welcoming. Classic beach vibe with a retro modern look. Reasonably well priced for location. And only an 20 minute walk to Manhattan Beach. Would stay again!

Worst hotel ever. Poor customer service Wish I gave them a zero star. You will be automatically sent to a motel located right next to it and your room will be a queen size bed even if you book a king size room. And they don't even provide a discounted rate for inconvenience. Horrible experience. Never visit there.

After searching through several hotels, I selected the Wave Hotel (basing my decision off the photos and customer ratings. Only to find out upon arrival that the hotel was very unacceptable. To say the least. The hotel was under renovations, but we were advised that the renovation would not be near us. After walking in our room we were greeted by loud drilling noises and the door to the room had a gap in the top and bottom of the door (where someone could see inside and rodents could enter in). After checking the beds in room, I had to bring it to the attention of the front desk clerk that the bedding was dirty. She came in the room to check and the agreed it was not up to par. She said that she could move us to a different room, but said all the rooms were the same. Lastly the pool the hotel was closed, so that was an amenity that was advertised, but was not available. I asked the front desk clerk if we could just be refunded our money so we could get a decent hotel room.

The Wave Hotel is very reasonably priced, clean and very roomy. The included breakfast was a great way to start the day and I would definitely book again when staying in Los Angeles

The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The pool was closed (3/15/2017) but they allowed access to a neighboring hotel pool. The newly renovated rooms are very clean and modern. Would stay again!

The breakfast is nice. About a 25 minute walk from the beach. Nearby Target store. The new rooms are very nice. Unfortunately they're currently renovating their pool area

Construction, more construction, did i mention construction? Holy wow. 7am until 5pm. Nail guns and saw machines all day. They shut the water off with no notice, sucks when you haven't rinsed off in the shower >:/ No hot tub like advertised, breakfast was muffins and coffee, bubble tube tv. Only upsides, close walk to the beach and accommodating staff. I hope all the construction pays off soon!
