Extremely close to a training facility for work, friendly, helpful staff. Very little parking, many trip hazards trying to get into hotel (sign said under construction). Outdated rooms and very very noisy, making it very hard to sleep. Hall way noise, fridge ticking loud all night and pipes banging! In stead of paying close to $200/night, next time I will drive a little farther, pay less and actually be able to sleep.
No complaints about my stay. Their pool looked amazing but I never got around to using it. They were having some construction done so the elevators didn't work the week I was there. If that is a problem, be sure to call ahead and ask for the first floor.
Went to a funeral near here. We had connecting rooms with our families. Great breakfast and great service! Only down fall is this place is so big it can get confusing. Also no hot tub. Otherwise great stay :)
In three years, I’ve spent over thirty nights in this particular motel. They’ve turned me into a loyal Holiday Inn Express user. The staff is always helpful, the beds feel wonderful, and (my favorite part) the linens are sparkly white.
The hotel has the layout of a fun house maze. You will spend 15 trying to find your room. The breakfast bar is standard, no problems there. Rooms were clean and updated as well. I was there for a 3 day professional event and they served a nano bar for lunch. Want too impressed with that
My room smelled like pretty flowers! The breakfast was filling and delicious! The only thing was the bright blue light from the microwave. Still worth 5 stars!
Checking was professional I would say straight forward not very friendly. I did have difficulty finding room initially(had it been dark it would have been near impossible).
Map from desk to room should be updated and with construction going on challaging. I would think more challenging for elderly or those with disabilities.
Room was clean and comfortable. Very much liked the step in shower and the bath towels we're a nice cotton.
Common areas upon entry we're untidy not at all clean.
Breakfast room and options was more than satisfactory. Although large group enjoying breakfast was rather loud.
I've stayed here before and will likely do so again. For area I would say a good value..
Wish I could give zero stars being my stay here resulted in me ending up hospitalized. We got the nicest room they had one of their suites! 3 days into our stay we realized the air conditioning wasn't working we went to check that out further ourselves and found black mold caked all through the vents and all along the window seal Brought it up to the assistant manager first thing the following morning (10:45) that we needed the General Manager to see what we had to live in. They (Taylor and Scott) then decided to go on a 2 hour lunch break when they were suppose to be back at 1pm we didn't see the General manager until 2:15pm and after asking him "What would've happened if I wouldn't have woken up?" He expressionlessly said "We would've called emergency personal." So my fiancé asked "What would I have done sir?" And he then continued with the same response. I'm 18 years old.. I have a very serious lung condition and their rooms are simply inhabitable. For the sake of your children, pets, and loved ones I'd go anywhere else.
The room was clean and updated. Staff was very nice and quick to offer service. Housekeeping was efficient; the room looked great each of our 4 days there. The pool and exercise area is very well appointed, though it lacks a hot tub. The shower in our 2 queen suite was oddly small and did not seem to match the quality of the rest of the room.
I've been recommending friends and family to this Holiday Inn for years. All my friends and family always say great things about it. I live in Okemos and its important that the people i recommend have an enjoyable stay. Scott the manager here and staff here are amazing. If your in the Okemos area overnight, this is the place to stay.
Nice hotel, upgraded to a suite which was really nice with a separate bedroom area and spa bath. Road exiting from hotel area is very busy and difficult to get out of sometimes. Front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. May stay here again when in the area.
I attended a professional training at the Holiday Inn Express at 2209 University Park Drive, Okemos MI. The hotel was a little hard to find as the street name is small and hard to see. There is not a lot of parking room for where my room was located. I was early to check in at 1:30pm on Friday, April 7th and my room was ready. I was surprised at how easy and fast check in was. I had a map of the parking and instructions on how to find my room. The outside of the hotel looked like it was under some kind of construction but the inside was very appealing and clean. As I went to my room I had a long walk and was somewhat confused as everything looked the same. I did ask for help. My room was immaculate including the bathroom. I was very pleased. The food bar had many hot and cold selections but the quality of the food was not as good. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The food handlers were respectful and eager to help. One in particular (Joann) was more then willing to help the needs of customers at the breakfast bar. Check out was justvas fast and friendly. Great first visit to the area and I would stay again.
We love staying at this hotel. Great pool, newly renovated business and dining area, comfy beds and courteous/professional staff. It is always a wonderful experience when we stay at this hotel.
One of the best included breakfasts. We had good service and the pool made me sorry I hadn't brought a suit.
