The in-room amenities we're quite nice. However, the walls are paper-thin and you can hear a conversation in another room.
WARNING if you smoke do not even bring them in your room.
I have a rolling machine and rolled my cigarettes on the table in my room for my next day of work. I must not have cleaned up as well as i thought, leading to a SMOKING CHARGE for having loose tobacco in the room.
I never once smoked in my room, so there was NO SMOKE SMELL or any sign of smoking in the room, so how did a minute amount of loose tobacco lead to smoking charges on my credit card?
Stayed in the one bedroom suite for two nights. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the staff is kind and helpful and the food was great. No complaints, five stars all around.
Rooms are set up for extended stays with a small cook top, refrigerator and eating utensils, pans and dishes. Convenient to campus, the University Club, the Henry Conference Center and the research park. Friendly and helpful staff.
It's an aparment posing as a hotel in a weird but close to where i had to be location I got to watch an older lady get buzzed from wine samples that was fun
Had a good time at the suite. Room was clean and well priced. Lots of stuff to do in and around the area. Staff was also nice and helpful.
Beautiful room!!! Very spacious and clean. Staff was extremely accommodating. Access to the university club is the best perk!
Hotel Staff was super friendly. When i got there the Manager had written me a card and had brownies and cookies in a plastic container for me. Bed was super cozy the AC worked really nicely. There is a restaurant connected to the hotel (bit of a walk) that has amazing food (bit pricey but worth it). This hotel is right by a full golf course and there is planty of parking. I will definitely stay at this location again due to all of the positives above.
Staff is helpful and friendly. Rooms that have kitchenettes are stocked with everything you need. When I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. Comfy stay near campus.
The Candlewood Suites is situated around a beautiful golf course. Lots of trees and greenery provide a great ambiance upon arrival. I am quite happy with my queen suite, which can be described as decent sized one bedroom apartment. It has a kitchenette, nice size bath, large working desk, comfortable living room and two TVs. I've not had any issues with noise other than a few creaking sounds from the floors. As for amenities, you have access to the Michigan State University Club, which has a fitness center, spa, and restaurant. Overall my stay has been swell and I'm sure you would enjoy it too.
Been here for 6 months. Good bang for your buck. Decent studio feel. Front desk is very nice. Connected University club has AMAZING food, but is VERY pricey. Needs updated TVs.
Great location, room has everything. My remote control was not working in my room. It looked liked housekeeping might have tried to fix it, but since I didn't return to my room until late I didn't realize it. Staff were very friendly.
What a beautiful hotel in a great location. My wife and I stayed here recently for our Anniversary and were impressed by the quality of the room and service. We were given chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of Brut to celebrate. Lovely stay
