The hotel is definitely not ideal. Parking is distant from the entrance, rooms are ok but washrooms sub-par. The staff were far from excited to see me arrive.

Rooms are spacious and updated touches are nice. Location is close to shopping, numerous good restaurant options, and reasonably close to major highway routes. I've stayed here a few times now for business trips in the area and the price is always reasonable and competitive as well.

Hotel is undergoing renovations.
This should be specified on the website.
The walls are paper thin. Every and any sounds coming from the room next door can be heard.
I have been here five nights and every night I have had to endure loud neighbours.
The hotel is well situated. There are nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and the highway is not far away.
I travel to Florida often, Ft. Lauderdale in particular, to visit with elderly parents.
But, I would never return nor recommend this hotel. The paper thin walls are a deal breaker. And, the fact that the website, nor Expedia, inform that the hotel is under complete renovation is shameful. The Sheraton, also located on University Drive will be getting my business once again. Sadly, there were no rooms available. Just two more nights of terrible sleep and construction.response / report this review -

Great customer service, which included but not limited to very clean and spacious room and a very versatile breakfast. Sharon, Housekeeper, was very accommodating and friendly, and the hotel staff was as well.

Very disappointed with this place. Although the people are very nice, I have complaints. They have two Tv's in the breakfast area and both stay on MSMBC which I cannot watch. I could not connect with the internet, even after spending forty minutes with their "technical " person . Very frustrated and will not be back

The room was really nice. They are doing a lot of construction a lot the hotel so it will be a lot better in the future. Check out was at 11am which was a little bit of inconvenience.

Check in staff is excellent, polite and smooth. Some hardware should be replaced/repaired. Drain is very slow, kind of gross as you see the puddle drain very slowly.

The staff was nice. Our room had a little musky smell when entering but appearance was clean. The only complaint I would have is that the walls are paper thin. Try explaining to a 10 year old at 5AM that the woman moaning out loud and obvious spanking sounds was not being murdered. 🤔🙉😳 Funny thing is I believe the guy staying in that room works at the hotel. I noticed he was carrying a two-way radio earlier that day.

Once I purchased my room 05/17/2017 7:47 pm the next day called the hotel 05/18/2017 to confirm the reservation followed by room preference with view, floor and distance from elevators. After arriving at the airport 06/2/2017 8:44 am I contacted the hotel for shuttle pickup but was informed the transportation on the website pertained contract driver for travel at commuting area malls not clearly specified, since then it has been removed.
Upon entering the room I spotted the thick plastic with tape/paint covering the windows. I went to the front desk spoke with Ms Jeri (Supervisor) again explained my dilemma her response back stating all the rooms in tower two 200-220 were full and taped. An employee Mr Gullemo had OUTSTANDING customer service, who also walked my to several rooms to look at but Jeri replied on radio they were occupied. Mr Gullemo demonstrated the will please to the point of removing the plastic from the windows. Ms Jeri seemed unwilling and not enthusiastic in finding a resolution. When I checked out Ms.Merland displayed EXEMPLARY service by notifying us about the 5:00 am breakfast and phoned a cab. I found out that rooms were indeed available and being a IHG member I should have in tower one.
I’ve had several reservations with Holiday Inn Express; this experience will sever all ties with the company.response / report this review -

Motel style hotel with good free breakfast, but a very crowded breakfast room. Furthermore I disliked the fact that always ..I spent 4 nights there, people were hanging around the entrance to the second building which is a seperate entrance. The gap between the connecting doors between rooms is almost 1 inch high so if you look goog you will be able to the toes of your neighbors feet. There was a Keurig pod-style coffin machine in the room which was quite unique and welkom. Because of the motel style setup and the typical Popcorn finish of both ceiling AND walls I would rate this hotel 2.5 stars

Quiet, nice views, near shopping like places for toiletries (walmart). Staff was respectively quiet. Good breakfast. Washer and dryer on site (no softener though). Denny's near by. 7-11 also.
