Room was clean. comfortable bed and pillows signal on tv was not the best AC unit was very loud.. breakfast was great for our 7 day stay at Clearwater pool was a disappointment!

Lobby n breakfast is decent, but rooms we stayed felt old and dated. Some of the wooden furniture had chips come out. Fittings felt old too.
Our ac broke down on the second night and we were moved to another room nearby. Most staff was polite, but I had an extremely harsh encounter during my first day at breakfast. I avoided arguing not to spoil the vacation mood, but I ll never book here if I travel to Tampa again. Definitely not what I expected of brand Holiday Inn. The 3 stars are for the few things that worked well for us including wifi and the person who checked us in.response / report this review -

From the time I made a call to verify my room and check in time to the time I left thing just were not as expected. Waited on hold for more than 10 minutes for the associate who answered after being on hold to say hold while I take another guest. It took more than 20 minutes to verify the room. When I got there the front desk associate was pleasant and informative (the only plus in my stay). Breakfast was dried out and the eggs looked crusted as if they had been out for a long time. The housekeeping staff pounded on my door when the do not disturb sign was placed on the door handle. They left after trying to enter the room. I went to breakfast and came back and they just walked into my room without knocking again with the sign still up. There was an unpleasant odor in the room and elevators. Over all do not recommend and would not stay again.

Stayed for two nights in late October. The room was very large for a standard king room and had a couch and two chairs. Also included was a minifridge and microwave which is always a plus. Free breakfast was decent as far as hotel breakfasts go. Overall a very clean and well kept property.

Pretty good place to bring your family. Just there is a hot water issue with this place. If u stay on the higher floors your water will be barely warm. Plus some rooms are super humid and damp if you don't leave ur AC at 70 degrees

Amazing customer service. When I checked in on Labor Day weekend, the gentleman up front displayed outstanding customer service skills. They have very clean and comfortable rooms! The breakfast was great. My favorite was the bed, soft pillows, clean soft cozy comforters. I didn't want to leave! Would definitely recommend!

From the time I walked through the door the staff was absolutely amazing! Had very small problem with the room key and staff immediately went above and beyond to take care of it! Breakfast was great, hot tub was relaxing, and bed was comfy. Couldn't have had a more pleasant trip. Only place I will be staying at on my trips to the area. Only been here one night and feel like I've know the staff on a personal level for years. All around very comfortable, friendly and safe place!

Had a job fair expo in 06/05/17 - the staff was friendly, the boardroom was spacious, bathrooms were clean. Only thing was parking was a challenge. Not enough parking for an event.

If you require the use of a business center, with computer and a printer, stay somewhere else. They have three computers for guest use, only 1 works, and that computer doesn't have MS Word or Excel because they didn't purchase a license to operate the software. The printer is in another location behind the front desk, so if you have something to print, and you require privacy, go to Best Buy and get yourself a printer. I can't believe that this is what they offer their guests.

Our room smelled terrible. The second night the housekeeper came and removed the refrigerator and sprayed the room with air freshener.
The front desk did not offer a new room.
We made the front desk aware of the problem from the previous 2 nights when we checked out the next morning. The agent said he would have the general manager, Joe , call us as soon as he got in that day. No call. We called 2 days later and Joe. said he had no recollection of the incident and saw no reports but would call us in 3 days once he investigated. No call. We called and spoke with the front desk agent who we had originally spoken to who said he, the night clerk and the housekeeping supervisor had all written a report the day and evening of the problem.
Joe denied seeing all 3 reports and said that he was not willing to adjust our room fee, nor did he even offer an apology.
There are plenty of other choices to stay in Clearwater, save yourself from a potential problem and go elsewhere.response / report this review -

The service it top notch, as expected from HIE.
The location though, is one of the older properties. Still clean, but one can definitely see the age peeking through; and at times a quick glance can confuse wear and tear with uncleanliness.
The lobby is much more spacious than other HIE i have been to, so if you enjoy lounging there you will be pleased. The Fitness center is almost non-existent. 2/4 pieces of equipment not working, but the room is clean.
Overall a pleasant stay, but for the price it definitely doesn't stand above other HIE properties.response / report this review -

I like to book on the go, we drive close to our destination and I check the availability and price of room and I ask reception to see the room before booking.
I was very satisfied with room quality, cleanliness and Ac unit function.
Breakfast was a very good service, big variety and quality. I couldn't make more pictures since people were serving themselves.
I am very picky when it comes to cleanliness of hotel and quality of food.
Great price, since the hotels next to water
