This location is an older building but in a nice area of town and appears to have been recently remodeled inside. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was standard Holiday Inn Express. There is some highway noise at night, but as it's a hotel chain that caters to travelers most locations are close to a highway. I would definitely stay again.

I was speechless to see all the high marks this hotel has received. It MUST be "an inside job". I travel 40+ weeks for my work and this was one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. The mattress was so bad I could not sleep on it - felt like it was 30 years old. There were cigarette burns on the furniture. My room and the hotel overall was very dirty with fingerprints and marks on the walls. They waited way to long to start on the renovation. Nonetheless, it won't help if you have an incompetent manager who seems to accept the fact that this hotel will always have very poor standards.

Nice hotel and felt very clean. I love how the rooms on the first level wrap around a central lobby where breakfast is served. It feels like a more expensive hotel than it is. A base king room on first floor had a couch with table, bar area with a big fridge, coffee maker, extra sink, and microwave. The air conditioner is great and the bathrooms are adequate. Overall very clean and enjoyable experience.

Fantastic hotel. Super clean comfortable rooms. Great bathroom with significant water pressure and very hot water. Impressive hot free breakfast. Very friendly front desk personnel. Our family will be sure to look into Holiday Inn Express again!

A fine location - Trussville is a 20 something minute drive outside Birmingham. The place is clean, rooms are spacious, and the beds are the best. Breakfast was provided with a good variety of food and drink. Very pleased with our stay.
