Clean rooms, friendly staff and decent breakfast. Manager was friendly, and they made sure we had our AAA and/or military discount correctly on our invoice. Does offer a military discount but you may have to call and ask for it as their website seems to charge higher for a discount for rooms if the going rate is lower.

This is a very nice, clean hotel. Staff very nice. My reason for 4 not 5 stars is that our room was facing the street and Very Loud. There is a traffic light right there and it seemed as if every car had loud exhaust and raced away from light. Next time I'll ask for parking lot side.

I've been to this hotel several times since 2014. It's got a great location if you need easy access to I-25 and I-40. The one time there was an issue they compensated me. Very happy with this location.

Very enjoyable stay good location for events. Property well maintained friendly helpful staff. Only thing not understood is why property is identified as in old town. Old town is a fair distance from property so shouldn't be identified as being in Old Town.

The hotel was clean, but when it comes to the front desk service is very poor. At first when checking in I was willing to say it was the individual. She was rude telling us we booked our rooms wrong, which we book regularly due military travel. When checking out we waited 20 minutes to get a receipt which I still do not have due to no receptionist. Odd thing I ran into an individual putting receipts under the doors as I left my room, asked if he had room 328 and he replied yes but could not give it to me. I told him I would pick up at desk.
Am editing due to initial check in with receptionist. Found out as I called for my receipt that Sonja never transferred the room to my name not input my reward number as she stated she would.
The employees are the face of an establishment and should always make customer service a priority.

The Holiday Inn Express at old town is conveniently located near Explora and the natural history museum. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful and provided suggestions on locations for dinner. There is a nice indoor pool and hot tub at this location. Breakfast was the standard you'd find at all Holiday Inn Express and they even provided boxes to take a cinnamon bun home in. We've stayed here twice and been happy each time.

Typical Holiday inn express. Clean ,nice pool,good breakfast, good location off the freeway. House keeping staff is very courteous always said hello and asked if we needed anything to let them know.

The only complaint is when I told my wife to ask for extra towels the lady up front was not very nice and asked why we needed more towels! My wife told her we booked 2 rooms with 4 people in each room and the rooms only have 3 towels.
Then the other guy on duty said that there were "pool" towels we could use!! Eventually they gave us the hotel towels .
We have been staying at Holiday inn express for year's and been IHG members just as long. We have never been given such a hard time asking for "towels".

Great location, just off major roads and variety of places to eat in the area. Staff was friendly. Power had gone out after checking in but was on soon after. AC unit in room was adequate, could have been better. Breakfast was decent variety, pancake maker instead of waffles. Wish they had bacon instead of Turkey sausage for meat protein. Good for one night stay.

The stay was great. We showed up on a whim and got a two bed room. Breakfast in the morning was good and it got is on our way. The best part was the location directly next to a restaurant for us to have dinner at after a long drive

Only a suite available (our fault, no reservation) but the A/C wasn't operating in either room of the suite. The TVs were antiquated, the furniture would appear normal in the '80s. The vent in the bathroom was hanging from the ceiling and it could use some touch-up paint. The jacuzzi tub was a welcome amenity, and the water was HOT. The gentleman at the counter was slow and could have been more polite, but was able to accommodate us.

Breakfast was decent enough (no one does good scrambled eggs). While we were eating the Director of Sales (name badge confirmed) came and asked us a few questions about our stay and informed us of a renovation they're planning in November after hearing our minor concerns with the room.

In all, I would wait until the renovations were completed to return.

The staff at this location is first rate. Valerie helped us at check in and when there was a problem with our first room she quickly took care of us and got us another room. Tanya, the morning hostess, took care of all our needs and was so wonderful. My 13 year old nephew said, "they get an 'A' for hospitality!! Thanks so much.

The roads leading to the hotel we're u der lots of construction and in bad shape. However there is a gas station across the street, McDonald's and a Starbucks next to the hotel. Easy on and off I-40. I stated in a pet friendly room, it was not as clean as expected. The floor was gritty, and the remote was sticky. The towels smelled of mildew. It wasn't terrible, but I've also seen better.

It was a beautiful hotel, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The sheets were all fresh and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice, all new fixtures, great water pressure in the shower. The continental breakfast was delicious, lots of fresh tasty food. Great experience.
