Walls paper thin and rooms are small.
The walls are so thin that that the unruly guests next door began shushing and cussing their children to be quiet before I was even off of the phone with the front desk (at 1:20 am). Also, the neighbor’s TV sounds like it is on my nightstand and there could possibly be a track meet going on in the hall. I realize that there is a cheer competition in Frisco on Sunday however- there is no excuse for the noise and vulgar language, at 1:20 in the morning. Room size is small and with so many options in the area, we definitely won’t be coming back.

Accommodating staff. Clean and homey. Second stay here for over a month total. Can't recall the last time I stayed in a holiday inn otherwise, but I will definitely again!

Bathroom in need of repair. A/C did not work well. With 90+ temps, it should have helped cool down the room but heat was leaking from the unit into the room rather than being exhausted outside.

First Class Holiday Inn Express! Brand new, convenient location! No restaurant though. Many, many nearby eateries.

Wonderful stay. Clean comfy room with microwave, mini fridge, flat screen tv with cable. Pool, continental breakfast. Will stay there again. In fact is my go to place for all future visits to Frisco.

Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Maids like to replace with just lotion.

Can her neighbors through the walls.

One elevator has no floor numbers on buttons.

Had to get keys re-magnetized every other day. Sorry it’s 2017 and my keys get close to my phone. BUY better keys!

    WiFi is meh

Hotel was clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast was okits free so can't complain. Staff could of been a little more cheerful but definitely would stay again!

I would give it 5 stars but I was there last week (end of June!) and the in-wall air conditioner just couldn't keep up with the heat and it was hard to sleep. Great bed, clean room, friendly service staff. Overall a very good travellers hotel.

We were on a family visit to Frisco and had 2 rooms for 3 nights. It's a great location for shopping at Stonebriar and IKEA. The staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was fully stocked. The pool was full and the water was just right for an afternoon swim. The common areas are newly renovated and look nice. It would be a nice place to relax for a few days.

    However,

One of our rooms had a broken A/C unit, so the room was never cool compared to the room next door. Brad, the Manager, apologized and refunded that room for the stay. I noticed from the maintenance sheet that they had several rooms with broken A/C's, so this may be part of a larger problem.

The walls are thin, so we could hear excited track and softball teams running up and down the halls at night.

Finally, the card keys for our rooms "demagnetized" at least once a day every day we were there. For both rooms. Other guests were complaining of the same problem, so I think they need to replace their room key system.

This hotel has everything it needs to be a nice business and leisure location, but there are issues. It seems the operators are trying to save costs on maintenance and hope nobody notices.

FOLLOW-UP: One week later, I have a charge of $85 on my credit card that should not be there. I phoned the hotel and was told that charge was a "front desk mistake" and would be credited back. I wonder how many of these "mistakes" occur.

Friendly and helpful staff (Veronica (I believe) at the front desk on the night of my stay rescued my meeting notes), nice exterior, pleasantly decorated lobby. The room seemed nice upon entry but the longer I was in it the more little things I noticed that spoke of the age of the room, or if not age, then lack of proper upkeep. With a little bit of work (and no price change) it gets four stars, with a lot of work and a (reasonable price increase) it gets five.

Location: perfect for our work purpose. Rooms: clean except for a piece of popcorn that was stuck in the room's chair for who knows how long, and the toiletries were definitely not new. Service: excellent.

The great: breakfast has a wide selection. Pancake maker, hot instant oatmeal you can make with their hot water dispenser, cinnamon rolls, omelets, bacon, sausage, biscuits, cereal, milk, yogurt, bread, muffins, fruit I'm sure the selection varies daily and I'm sure I'm not remembering everything, but there was a lot of choice. Ardith in the breakfast area went above and beyond to make sure my breakfast experience was excellent by offering to help watch my toddler for a few minutes while my very pregnant self ran to the restroom.

The eh: in our room, there was a piece of popcorn lodged in the plush chair between the cushion and chair. Also, I used the lotion in the room, only to find that the bottle was almost empty and the container was dented as if the previous user had tried to squeeze out the rest of the lotion. There was also some pen writing on one of the toiletries in the restroom. If you're reading this and want to rectify this Holiday Inn Express Frisco, we were in room 414.

Staff extremely nice. Rooms seem to be fairly up to date. I had an issue with a pretty loud neighboring room late into the night and the hotel managed it quickly. Other than that a quiet stay. Would stay here again.
