The check-in process was quick and painless. The room was in good condition, and we loved the shower stall. I'm well over 6 feet tall, and it's rare that a hotel shower has the shower head placed so high. We found a great price online and will definitely look at this hotel the next time we're in town
Beds are hard and room smelled of mildew. Opted not to stay the 2nd night and just came home early. Good restaurant/bar and pool.
Very beautiful hotel, everything is up to date, bed is comfortable. Great place to stay if you don’t mind lady bugs everywhere. My husband caught at least 10 before we went to bed, and two more were on the ceiling and wall when we woke the next morning.
Friendly staff! Looked like a new building! Had a restaurant with its own food but they give you breakfast tickets to eat a comp breakfast from the breakfast bar. Clean, quiet, and nice. Would stay again.
I've been a big fan of the Holiday Inn for the longest. I've stayed in many holiday Inn across the country since I travel for work. Sadly this Holiday Inn in Hamilton Place Chattanooga gave me the worse customer service. I've been on a business trip for over a week at this location and I brought along my newborn daughter with me. I woke up in the afternoon with my baby and found a room infested with BUGS all over our belongings. I complained to the front desk and they asked me to move to another room in condition that I moved all my belongings to the new room. I had to be at work within an hour and I told them it was impossible for me to move out all my stuff right away one because I had to throw the infested clothes out, wash my baby bottles etc and second because I wouldn't want to move to the new room and bring the #BUGS along in the new room and I had to get to work within an hour but I'll happily move out all my stuff once I get back from work. Meanwhile for concerns for my newborn health my family had to be moved to the new room immediately. Instead of accommodating me and my family the staff refused that I leave my belonging in the infested room. He was extremely rude speaking to me in a disrespectful manner. I then asked to speak with a manager they told me the manager wasn't in the office. An hour later or so I get a call from the manager stating that I'm creating problems (because I complained about bugs in my room) and she told me she wants me out of the hotel with my newborn baby . I'm still shocked and really disappointed at Holiday Inn in Hamilton Place. I've always gave great reviews to this hotel and it's sad that they're treating me and my family this way
Great and clean place free breakfast would have been even better.
It was ok. Staff weren't helpful at all and the bathroom in our room had a little too much mold in it. Other than that, no issues.
My hotel room had lots of hair on the floor. I ate at the hotel restaurant and it took over an hour to get my food. The hotel staff was very pleasant. On a side note the restaurant was busy because of the hurricane Irma evacuees.
Nice clean hotel. Front desk staff were busy chatting about personal stuff each time I went there with a question or request. Room missing ice bucket the first time and I also asked for additional towels as there weren't enough for our party in our room. Housekeeping brought bucket but the towel request had not been given to her. She apologized and brought them right away. The next day we had to ask for towels again. Also, unrequested wake up call at 6 AM.
Great food in the lounge! The staff is very friendly! Gym had busted equipment but still useable. Good stay for under $100 a night.
A/C unit went out. 78 degrees made it difficult to sleep. However, staff was friendly and the building/room were is great condition.
The room was modern, clean and spacious enough with the king size bed and a comfortable sofa. The indoor pool was clean and well stocked with towels. It was the perfect temperature for the kids to let off some extra energy before bed.
The service at the front desk is excellent. I have a disability that makes it difficult for me to walk long distances. When I arrived, all of the disability parking slots were taken. The front desk attendant went out of his way to make sure that I found a parking spot close to the front door. He asked one of the staff members if they were leaving so that I could get his spot. By the time that I finished check in, he went out and found a slot that had opened up for me. He told me that he was going to work it out however it needed to happen. He said if it came down to it, he would move his car and let me take the space that he was in. The bottom line, though, was that I was going to get a close slot. This is what he assured me of and this is what he delivered.
I had called in yesterday to make a reservation for my boyfriend around 10:30 am. I spoke to a man who first said this was a Holiday Inn Express which clearly it's not, but we set the reservation up anyway and when it came time to give a confirmation he said his computer was moving really slow and wanted to know if he could just give me a call back with the code. I told him to just go ahead and call my boyfriend with the code just leave him a voicemail sense he was fishing and wouldn't answer. My boyfriend never received a call as neither did I. He went to the hotel around 10 pm last night to find out that there was NO reservation made for him. I knew he went to the right place because I confirmed the address before I sent it with the man on the phone. It is very concerning no reservation was made considering the man earlier got his card number! My boyfriend had to call all around town (Which we are from Ohio so we don't know the area very well) to find a room. Luckily the Holiday Inn in Hixson had got him a room even though when I called earlier she said they were all booked up. We are very closely watching my boyfriends bank account to make sure this man didn't just take his card number or charges him for a room he never got. I understand computers can mess up but he obviously would know if it went through or not and if it didn't why he couldn't call me back or call my boyfriend and let him know I have no idea! My boyfriend travels all around to fish and always chooses Holiday Inn but we definitely wont be calling this ever again!
