Clean, comfortable hotel. DASH transportation directly across the street to take you wherever you want to explore in Historic Downtown Charleston. Friendliest staff around!!!

Had a lot of trouble on Nov 2-6, 2017. Shower head pressure poor. Maintenance was supposed to fix it but didn't so we moved to a new room at the end of our first full day. The toilet didn't flush in the new room. Maintenance did fix that during our second full day. On our last full day our room didn't get cleaned. Cleaning staff that brought us some fresh towels said our cleaning person "called in" today.

Nicely appointed hotel on the edge of the historic district, great staff, and well kept rooms. Slight street noise from my room but not bad. Very close to shopping and restaurants on King Street.

My stay was fine, no issues, hotel is close to downtown and accessible to a lot of different things to do. They charge for breakfast which I don't know if that is standard but you're better off going to a place nearby.

We checked in late and the gentleman who helped us was very helpful and informative. Every staff member I saw was all smiles. The room and lobby area were both beautifully done. This is a great hotel! We will be back.

The area wasn't exactly what we were expecting as it was on the edge of the historic downtown area and a little rougher neighborhood, but we quickly recognized it was relatively close to many of the sites we wanted to see. The hotel itself was very nice and updated. Friendly and helpful staff. You do have to pay to use the hotel valet or find your own parking, but as parking is limited in all areas of downtown, this was not surprising and the valet ended up working great for us. We loved the second floor outdoor pool. Very private and nice!

Super clean, great location in relation to shopping in historic downtown. Really enjoyed the pool, library and overall vibe of the place. Smells fresh and ALL the staff from maids to valets were super friendly and professional. only down side is limited parking and no microwave in room. Also we bought a coffee maker cause they only had a Kurig.which I know is very popular. Will definitely return though!!!

We stayed at this Holiday Inn for 2 nights when we were in town for a wedding. As far as this hotel goes, it was very nice and clean. The bathroom was clean and big, and there was a nice Keurig in our room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. However, I felt they were trying to make the Holiday Inn something it isn't. Breakfast was not included, although it was very good. I got an omelet and coffee and it was around $12. The bar was nice and the drinks we got were good, although the bar tender wasn't around when we came (Friday night around 7:00 pm) and he wasn't the most personable.
It was in a somewhat sketchy part of downtown and there was a lot of construction going on. Construction workers were out working at 7:00 am everyday, although the noise wasn't that noticeable from our room. You had to walk 20-30 minutes South to get to the nicer parts of Charleston and the market, but we didn't mind. It was very close to the bars and little restaurants. Parking wasn't great and you had to pay for valet, but that is with any hotel downtown. We got there at the same time as a few others, so we waited a little for a valet, but not longer than 5-10 minutes. It seems they have fixed the valet issues others mentioned, as we got our car quick and there was always 2-3 people valeting. But $300+ per night? Definitely overpriced.response / report this review -

The inn was very neat and set up beautifully! The staff was helpful and happy! They were not able to accommodate for parking with a trailer but we're still helpful in finding us parking!

Excellent location. Walking distance to the shops on King street. Did not like the only hotel parking was valet at $22/day. The first day we parked in a public lot for $10 up the street. Sadly this wasn't an option the following day.

Courteous, and helpful staff. The room was clean, spacious, and came with a lot of perks. The only downside was nearby construction. Thankfully it only was only a minor disturbance in the mornings, and I understand there's not much the hotel could do to change that.

Not sure that this hotel should qualify as being a part of historic downtown, it's quite a hike to get to anything. There is a free bus that stops across the street, though. The room itself was clean and comfortable, though the walls seem pretty thin. I was woken up very early by the family next door making a racket.
