Really poor service for a Hilton. The worst were the alarms that went off at 5:00AM throughout the hotel. It took the staff hours to turn off the alarms and even longer to inform the guests about what was happening. At 40+ stories you need to do a better job of getting out information during an emergency. That's really scary in NYC. Also, the "head of security" had a lousy attitude about it. He didn't care and seemed clueless about how the security systems work in the hotel. Bad showing there. We had multiple issues- the batteries on our room door died and I had to go back and forth to the lobby 3 times before they would send someone, we were locked out of our room for about an hour. They didn't even offer us a free drink. And we are Hilton Honors members. Really poor service for a Hilton.
A really great hotel. Maybe rooms are not perfectly new, but really good quality for price range and location. I have chosen the hotel because it is one of the rare hotels that are really close to Times Square. The location is impressive. You have underground some meters away, and you're 50m away from Times Square. Staff is friendly. If you take breakfast this is not perfect but bigger than lots of typical continental.
Nice room and a good lobby bar. Bar and restaurant staff was great. Front desk staff were attentive and polite but failed to deliver on two separate requests. I asked for a complimentary water since I am Hhonors guest and they related that they would send to the room. The water was never delivered. The next evening I asked for additional coffee packs and the front desk again stated it would be delivered to the room but Service was a no-show again. Attention Front Desk! It's better to state to the customer that you can't provide the service vs. promising something and not carrying through. Otherwise, good hotel.
Nice clean hotel room. Very friendly staff. I loved that we were able to keep our bags with bell hops until we were ready to leave NY. The front desk gave us a nice corner room overlooking Times Square. Nice experience. Will be back.
The location of this place is absolutely fantastic - right at the heart of Times Square and with awedome connectivity to the whole city. The service is efficient and decent given it's a large hotel.
I'm going with one star less than 5 because my room wasn't ready till 3 pm and I had to wait in the reception area. They did of course look after bags etc while I went out for lunch.
Very large and comfortable room with a refrigerator which is a nice bonus. The room was very clean and had everything you could need - nice shampoo, soap, mouthwash etc. The bed was comfortable. I do wish there was a mini bar, but that's not a big deal. I was on the 40th floor which has a great view. No noise from the street or from the hallway. The lobby was nice and I like that there is an entrance to the hotel on both 41st and 42nd Street. I would definitely recommend and will stay at again.
Went to the view had an excellent time. The staff was super nice. I think I've met the best server I've ever met in my life here. His name was Thomas. Very professional curtious, and gave us the exact right amount of attention without being intrusive. Food was good. But again the service made it a 5 star experience.
I was very happy with this hotel. The rooms were clean and there were no issues that I can discuss negatively. Food recommendations were amazing and I would stay here again. We were visiting in full tourist mode and the central location of this hotel was perfect for what we wanted. Subway was easily accessable and that allowed us to maximize our visit.
Amazing staff, so helpful and friendly. Great location! Terrific view. Beautiful suites. Highly recommend. I will stay here again!
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around
We had a great time our room 3907, which was an upgrade by the excellent front desk agent, our room had excellent views of the NYE ball. The room was clean has a refrigerator and coffee maker, you can request a microwave. You must see Ivan the concierge!!! He helped us with tickets to the Yankee game and we had an incredible experience. Our stay came with breakfast, which was great for grabbing a bite before seeing the city. The only complaint is the elevator had issues. A couple of times the elevator was out and we had to use the service elevator. Otherwise, we had a fabulous stay and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else for the cost and convenience in the heart of Times Square.
Nice clean rooms. Price was a little much for the room. I expected more. Pillows were too soft for my taste. I asked for foam pillows but they weren't any better. Staff was very nice and I enjoyed my stay.
I was passing through helping a family member with their NY trip and stopped by the hotel for a second. I was happily amazed with the amenities, size of their room, and that amazing view especially for the price. Next overnight stay, I'm booking the Hilton in Times Square
The location of the hotel is pretty convenient if you are looking for an area that is easily accessible to a lot of tourism. The workers there are very interested in your satisfaction and I feel as though they do a good job at it. The rooms were very clean and a nice size for the price being that it is an upscale hotel in Times Square.
Fantastic location. Beautiful views. Very clean rooms. Super friendly customer service. Manager Feras does a great job running the place. Special thanks to Marvin who went extra mile to make us feel welcome.
I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Front desk - the level of customer service is mixed dependent upon who is on at the time. I rang down to ask how much a international call would cost per minute and no one ever got back to me. I asked again at the front desk and was advised that I would only find out 'after' I had made the call, when they are able to see how long I had been on the phone! Pick a price out of thin air why don't you?
However, when having to call the bank back home to report bank cards lost they were marvellous and permitted us to call at no cost.
The Room - Back facing, over-looking the rooftops of other buildings - not nice really as this was our first time long haul - in New York but I understand the hotel was full the week we stayed.
Location - Perfect - Central to everything and we felt safe
Concierge - What a splendid chap - extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Always a smile for everyone. A great asset for the hotel.
Restaurant - Only available for breakfast which was included in our price. If travelling alone this is very difficult to manage. You get coffee and place on the table to reserve your place, then return for food selection only to return and find the staff have cleared the table!
Staff - mostly friendly but not attentive enough for the level of customer service I expect in a Hilton Hotel.
Room Service - The first night we had received a brand new dollar bill so we were keeping it for a memory of our vacation, leaving under a book on the bedside table. However, on our return the next day we found our room had been freshened up but the dollar bill gone! Presume they thought it was a tip? It wasn't, so we didn't leave valuables around in the room again after that..
Summary - Would I stay here again? Maybe, but wouldn't include breakfast and would specify room type required. As a Hilton Honours guest I would expect improved considerations when making reservations in this chain. Our stay was mid Nov 2016
