If you are going to Manhattan with the intention of spending all of your time in the hotel, then this is not the hotel for you. But chances are, you are going to Manhattan to see the city, attend a show, go to a museum, shop, eat, and adventure. In that case, you won't find a better stay for a better price. The Comfort Inn Times Square South is close to Times Square, the Garment District, and Broadway. Transportation is equally accessible because you are a block away from the Port Authority hub and 1/2 block from 8th Avenue. The rooms are small. Very small. But the accommodations are enough to rest your weary, adventured out bones at the end of the day. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Leo who was one of the happiest, most helpful, and joyous hotel workers I have ever had the pleasure to be served by. He handled our every need with a smile on his face.

Everything was normal for a hotel. Small but what can you expect in NY only horrible thing was the breakfast. A cold sausage and no refills, just eat out instead

Great location. Resturants, convenient stores, liquor stores and Port Authority all within a block radius. Clean rooms, small but comfy beds and bedding. Nice bathroom. Small rooms but its NYC. Continental breakfast. No early check in but they will store your luggage until check in. Staff is super friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Choosing a hotel in NYC at a reasonable rate during the UN General Assembly was my mission for this business trip. The Comfort Inn is small, cozy and convenient. The room is a little smaller than some compare rooms at other hotels, but it is clean and serves its purpose. This hotel is almost directly in the middle of the hot spots of 34th Street and the Times Square area.

This hotel is not the most up to date or the fanciest but what it has it a great location and awesome staff. So, the hotel rooms are small but what do you expect staying in the heart of Time Square. The big down side is the breakfast area which is small and there are generally a lot of people trying to eat breakfast all at the same time The positives are, the location (2 minutes walk to the middle of Times Square), the price Much cheaper than similar hotels in the area and the Staff, who were just awesome.

We genuinely enjoyed our stay here. It was close to so many of the things we wanted to see. The only thing we didn't really appreciate was how small the breakfast area was.

No parking at hotel. I had to park my car across the street, but can't get to my car, because it's only valet parking. They have to bring me my car, which they didn't seem interested in doing. The rooms are way too small. No microwave or refrigerator in the room. All the amenities are in the basement. Very inconvenient. I guess the only plus is that we are where the action is in Time Square. I don't plan on coming back to this hotel.

Overall the place was okay. Front counter staff were nice and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Let me stop here. The breakfast area for a 80 room hotel was 6 tables in the basement with a temperature near 90. The thermostat actually read 88. This was a joke. The staff that attended to the breakfast area was anything but pleasant. Not sure if the unpleasantness was due to the heat or not. Many of the breakfast items were out and hour into the breakfast. Coffee empty and no OJ. Then one elevator was out of order and the other one had a homeless joy rider in it asking where she was at and what hotel she was in.

Very nice hotel even though it just has two stars. Good location next to times square with clean and clear rooms.

Very good location, close to times Square. Very good service as well. Rooms aren't the best and can be kind of cramped. Bathroom door interferes with the door getting into your room.

The staff is SUPER nice. They bend over backwards to ensure you have a great stay. The down side is the rooms are extremely small. There is no room to move around you can't really unpack your things because there's just no space. Breakfast is great.

I stayed at this hotel with my mother and mother in law December 9-12, 80 and 73 yrs old. One of the two elevators was broken for the majority of our three day stay. Waits were up to 20 minutes for an elevator. We tried calling front desk, number always busy. My 80 year old mother in law ended up having to walk down 15 flights of stairs. When I explained all of this to the front desk, they were nice but dismissive. The rooms are VERY small but you don't spend a lot of time in them anyway. They were clean. The breakfast area is VERY crowded and the bathroom down there was DISGUSTING each morning. It was tough to get a table for breakfast and rooms were too small really to bring breakfast back to. This probably would not be as big an issue during week or not during Holiday. My biggest issue is on the customer services of this hotel. Staff was friendly, but as I stated earlier, dismissive. At Check out, they noticed we were platinum members. The attendant ( wont share his name at this point) stated "I see you are a platinum member, pertaining to our conversation earlier, we apologize for your inconvenience, can we offer you points for this and hope you will stay with us again". Well this attempt at making up for the disappointing stay was appreciated. HOWEVER, the points were never added to our account. To date I have called twice. First time was told a manager would call back same day. No return call. Second time, Manager out of country and will have to be patient on return call. Patience wearing thin. We travel to NYC often and am disappointed in the lack of follow up or service with this hotel.

A good hotel with rather small beds but that's okay. Breakfast is normal and good. You're very close to Times Square and the subway to take you anywhere. Already been to Comfort Inn in Washington and London too and I love the way things are handled. No complaints, good service, very friendly staff and always willing to lend a hand. I'd go back there again if I needed a good place to stay. Also payable and not too expensive for a top located spot.
