Well let's see brought my mother in not that busy been 4 1/2 hrs and still sitting here waiting on meds and doctor and a room.. but low a behold there is over 20 people waiting at the time clock and honestly have to push my way thru cause no one will move.. this is the saddest place in the medical field
Should have gone to South Shore.. ya know what we are going to South Shore..
I was just at HF Wyandotte (oct 25-27th) birthing center and had a wonderful experience. The nurses there were absolutely amazing! Cheryl, Amanda, and Cathy to name a few, made me feel as comfortable as possible and made my birthing experience relaxing. Thank you staff!
I'm a patient of Henry Ford West Bloomfield and have been for years. However due to a job transfer for my husband, our closest hospital is HF Wyandotte. I am currently 6 months pregnant and after not feeling any fetal movements for a whole day, I decided to come here to L and D to ease my concerns.
Upon being admitted to HF Wyandotte the nurse tells says "Why are you coming here since you aren't a patient of ours? Do you realize your insurance may not pay for this? We don't have access to your records, you really should be going where you plan to deliver. I wanted to but due to my level of distress and anxiety, I wasn't in a position to safely drive myself to HF WB. I really didn't see the harm in making sure my baby was okay. I have great health coverage through my husbands job so being covered wasnt my concern. I found that bringing up insurance coverage was highly unprofessional.
The only reason I didn't give HF Wyandotte a 1 star was because OB Resident Dr W was fantastic. Her bed side manner was great and she assured me that if I ever come here again which I am welcome too, to make sure I keep my records with me.
Had my baby girl here on Sept 20,2017 and got the best treatment. All of the nurse's and Doctor's were really nice to me and caring. I felt less nervous about my C Section because of them. I was constantly checked on. I would recommend anyone to have their baby here. The whole labor and delivery Staff, you guys are awesome and wonderful people.
ER started out good then turned into tolerable that then turned into unexceptable, that basically was inappropriate care for an ED, and warrants a letter of complaint to the administration.
However, after the initial adm to the observation unit, which was a little better then ER, the rest of hospitalization so far is a 4/5 STAR. We have been updated, checked on, lights answered, and everyone has been pleasant & patient with my 88 yr old father. Thank you to in house staff.
I had a total knee replacement done there a couple of days ago. I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff was. Everyone I encountered was friendly knowledgeable and interested in helping me. If they didn't know the answer they went and found the answer and got back with me right away it was really a pleasure dealing with them even with something as difficult as surgery
Went to the ER after injuring both my ankles. The service was great from the x-ray technician to the nursing staff and doctor. The only thing that would make the experience better is if patients were told the cost of the durable medical equipment provided. I was billed $289 from Hart Medical after visit and the crutches and boot wouldn't have cost $80 if I ordered them from Amazon. Not HFHS fault but just suggesting more transparency if items are not covered under an individuals' ER copay.
I got back there quickly with my dad he was having really bad stomach pains. They ran some blood and gave some tylonol and something called a "pink lady " and was released diagnosis was influenza. 2 days later he had a heart attack.
Splendid experience despite the circumstances. Doctors and nurses were compassionate and professional everyone on staff did a wonderful job
I am very pleased with this hospital. I have had to have two ER visits in a month! I broke my ankle and we drove right over from the park. They were swift and so caring! Everyone from the XRay Tech, to intake, the doctors and especially my nurse were so kind. I left a review with the institution itself and I hope that all of these people get their kudos. I have five kids and have spent my fair time in ERs. Other than Mott's in Ann Arbor this is the best. I will always choose this for my needs. The only reason I would choose Mott's is that my son has some specific issues and they have all the specialists available and all of his previous scans. I am so grateful that we moved to Wyandotte.
Our ER experience was terrible! We went 3/15/17. The wait once being called was ridiculous, the Nurse Practitioner and Doctor we're rude and made us feel like our request for testing to ease our mind was a dumb request. The doctor was very sarcastic about it when we pushed that we wanted testing. We sat at the ER for 5.5 hours! The treatment and remarks we received was just awful. I wouldn't recommend this hospital for emergency services to anyone. I know we will be going elsewhere for our services.
This review is on the maternity floor. I have delivered 3 children in this hospital. 2010, 2013 and 2017. The doctors and nurses on this floor are all amazing. I had one bad experience with a nurse and simply asked for a different nurse and got one right away. Always use your judgement, ask questions and be an advocate for yourself. Not a complaint here though!
