Very sad state of a hospital when you cannot get a timely appointment with any doctor there. It takes any where from eight to twelve weeks to get an appointment, it takes four to five weeks to get tests scheduled. Henry FORD HOSPITAL has gotten so big, the patients do not matter as an INDIVIDUAL.
My husband has been seeing different specialist, getting test after test, then retested and retested for the same problem. He was scheduled to get a pinched nerve in his neck repaired, but a neurologist suggested he mask the problem with with steroid therapy instead, so now they won't unpinch the nerve. Time to say good bye to Henry Ford where patients rights do not count, ONLY THE DOCTORS DOES.

One star because negative stars is not a choice. Some of the nurses/staff are excellent. Administrative policies to prevent negligence are not followed. 80% of the time the ball is fumbled, again and again and again. The Doctors say one thing but staff does not get proper instructions, or the info they do get is exactly the opposite of what was supposed to happen. What began as a 60% failure rate for 2 months has evolved into an 85% failure rate this past week as inpatient. This place, over-all, makes the Keystone Cops look competent, by comparison.

FROM STARTING IN EMERGENCY ROOM TO SURGERY TO ICU. TODAY WAS INTERESTING THAT'S FOR SURE. FOR THE MOST STAFF WHERE NICE WHEN I TALKED WITH THEM OR HAD QUESTIONS, BUT THERE WHERE DEFINITELY WERE STAFF THAT WERE NOT AS NICE TO ME OR MY NURSES, I SEEN A LOT OF PEOPLE TEXTING ON THEIR PHONE. NOW I KNOW PHONES ARE NOT ALL BAD. WHEN I SEE YOU TEXT A GIRL SHORTY TELLING HER HER ASS LOOKS AMAZING WHILE WORKING INFORMATION DESK SENDS A STRONG MESSAGE TO ME, YIKES. AND SOME OF THE LANGUAGE WAS LOOSE AND AT WRONG TIMES HEARING STAFF COMPLAINT ABOUT OTHER WORKERS AND SCHEDULING. AFTER BEING THERE ALL DAY THE SECURITY WAS ROUGH AFTER 8 , STANDING IN A LINE ALWAYS GETTING CUT OFF BY THERE BEING LITTLE SYSTEM FOR ENTRY. LIKE I SAID FOR THE MOST PEOPLE WORKING WITH ME TONIGHT THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONEST FRIENDLY HELPFULNESS.BLESS THE GOOD IN THIS PLACE THEY REALLY LOVE WHAT THEY DO!

My mother went in the ER the other night. (12 hours!) I want to thank Zara for trying to make my mother as comfortable as she could. She did an outstanding job trying to please us with all she had to do as I watched her running from room to room and patient to patient. She has an incredible bedside manner and makes you feel at ease. Thank you again Zara!

The Emergency Room at the Main campus is horrible and have been this way for over 10 years. Check my niece in ER recently, the registration clerk diagnosed her based on her Chronic Condition listed in the system where did she get her medical degree from. She was tachypnea they just set her in the hall way to wait her turn. I thought her situation deserve some type of urgency. This ER has been this way forever. They can build new hospital, cancer center etc. but they will not improve their ER process. Is it because of the location???

My aunt was there and I was appalled at her treatment by the nurses. I had heard good things about the doctors but the way Tue nurses behaved and treated their patients. I would never recommend this hospital.

By far THE BEST HOSPITAL I've ever been to!! I live near Tampa, FL and have been traveling to HF every 3 weeks for 5 months for a clinical trial for my cancer (that I've been battling for 3 1/2 years), and I've received the BEST CARE BY FAR at HF than anywhere else. I want to rent a billboard or tell CNN or something - everyone should know this! It's not just 1 doctor or 1 nurse - EVERYONE I've dealt with has been so caring and thorough and I just can't say enough nice things about them! They make contacting them super easy by giving me their email addresses and even their cell phone numbers, and respond so quickly! It's CRAZY how patient centered they are. I've heard other hospitals use phrases like 'patient centered' - well they could all learn from Henry Ford Hospital what that REALLY means! They ROCK!!

Best hospital where I have been a patient. I went through screening and then transplant surgery. I have been on different floors and seen many different departments. One thing they all have in common was their professionalism, courtesy and willingness to help. This includes doctors, nurses , technicians, volunteers, floor clerks and rest of the staff.
IF I WAS TO LIST EVERY ACT OF KINDNESS AND CONCERN THIS WOULD BE A BOOK AND NOT A LONG REVIEW.

I moved into the New Center area late 1986, at a time of bliss..but that all changed when a relative was in a car accident early '1991-92 when a drunk driver slammed into her car caring she, her daughter, pregnant with her 3rd child, her granddaughter Robin, two at the time, and her grandson DeAngelo, five years old. They were transported to Henry Ford Hospital where they were all diagnosed grandson critical, daughter serious, possibly internal injuries to her unborn child, & granddaughter serious
I was called by our older sister & she told me what had happened suggested, " Since I was the closest in that erea,(being two blocks) to meet them in emergency"! Scaried, frantic, questions running thru head I get there, my sister was being treated for minor injuries, her daughter was sent to the maternity unit, as a cautionary procedure measure. But little De (DeAngelo) caught the greatest impack, he was rushed to OR immediately! Her granddaughter minor injuries. A week in Pediatric ICU!!!!!! The doctor's & nurse's team, prayers, Faith in God, DeAngelo' LIVES. THANK YOU TEAM PEDIATRIC ICU UNIT FOR YOU COMPASSION,, VIGILANCE, & YOUR KINDNESS!!! GOD SPEED.

I saw the orthopedic doctor today , morning of 04/11/17and 04/13/17. Dr. Zeni and his team where very supportive and kind. Especially the lady that took me to the room and the cast room. Marvin Jones and Lonelle Jones where both amazing too, we spoke like we had know each other for years. Thank you team orthopedic, cast department keep up the good work. Updated 04/25/17: went back to get my cast off, I must mention and give a great review to the X-ray department, especially the guy he was extra careful with my foot. Thank you

I've worked in my fair share of hospitals and Henry Ford needs to train their administrative personnel on courtesy and professionalism. When you go through ER, they seem more into flirting with the ambulatory drivers than paying attention to the patients checking in. Also, the system announcing who is next to see the nurse needs to be advised. The maternity area is very slow on a weekday and should have more than one nurse seeing the women. Will go to Beaumont instead.
