Our first visit with Dr Bassett and staff really put me at ease. The reception staff and Vet Techs were wonderful with my dog, as they greeted her and said goodbye, even spoiling her with treats. Dr Bassett was wonderful! I really felt at home in their cozy office. Recommend!

I got my male indoor cat declawed. They offer laser declaw for the same price that most vets charge for scalpel. My cat hardly had any pain and was jumping around the day hey came home. The staff, assistants and Dr Basset answered all my questions and treated my pet kindly and patiently.

Dr. McDaniel and his staff are great. They are very kind and gentle with my cats. Love the separate cat area. My cats are not used to dogs and I believe this separate entry and exam rooms help keep their anxiety levels down. They treat my cats as though they were their own. I had been at a cat only clinic and none of the staff was as gentle and kind as this staff. I can't compliment them enough, from the desk to the doctor they are the best!

After only one visit here, I already know I've found a great vet clinic for my fur baby. I didn't feel rushed, they seemed to really care about the service they provided, and gave my little guy lots of attention. I also received a thank-you note, hand signed by the staffthat's a first for any vet I've ever been to. I also didn't feel like they were "up-selling" any products in order for me to spend more money. They seemed to recommend only what was really needed and didn't overcharge. Definitely will recommend Hazel Dell!

I honestly didn't know I could love a vet so much. Every single member of the staff at Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is incredible. No exceptions. I am so very thankful for their kindness, compassion, and professionalism. They take such good care of us and our babies that they feel like family to us. They instantly know who we are and every little detail about our pets when we call or stop in.
Our family has been taking our animals to Hazel Dell for probably 15 years, and boy have we seen it all together. They are so compassionate with every situation, and Dr. McDaniel and Dr. Bassett handle every situation with such ease. They also tell the truth, which is so valuable in a vet. In non-favorable situations, they are so open and honest with what treatment options they'd recommend for all ailments.
They are all just really, really great people, and we are so thankful to have them in our lives.response / report this review -

I love my dog so much, and entrusting his care to the right veterinarian is the most important thing to me. I completely trust the doctors and technicians at Hazel Dell Animal Hospital with my pup - they are so kind, professional, and caring. They treat my dog as though he were their own.

I have been a client for almost 13 years with 3 cats ranging from 6 weeks to 21 yrs over that time. I have had absolute trust in the knowledge and care of the vets and staff. They have always been available, attentive and compassionate. They have become trusted advisors and friends over that time and I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I would give them more stars, if I could! Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is, in my opinion, a wonderful veterinary hospital!
I have read all of the reviews posted and can honestly say that in the 12+ years they have been my pets' vet, I have never had a negative (or even neutral) experience. They care for our 12 year old dog (since we got him), very sensitively handled the illness and subsequent euthanasia of a young kitten (including sending a sympathy card), care for our 2 cats and are now caring for the newest addition to our pet family -- a puppy.
The staff, vet techs and nurses, and vets are warm, friendly and welcoming, as well as being helpful on the telephone and in person.
I originally went to them because they were very close to my home. About 8 years ago I moved into Indianapolis, so they are no longer "conveniently" located for me. While there is a well known veterinary hospital within a mile of our home, I continue to drive to Hazel Dell Animal Hospital -- I like and trust them and would not entrust the care of my precious pets to anyone else.response / report this review -

This is by far the best vet and office ever. The front desk staff is amazing and anytime I call, they know who I am, and our pets by name. Anytime we've had an urgent situation they've been able to get us in right away, even on Saturday's. They accommodate for my dog who is "other-dog-aggressive" as well. The appointment reminder cards have their photos, and usually they give our dog a bandana when he leaves. We had a very special needs rescue dog at one point, and after he passed away, they made a donation to Purdue In his honor and memory of him. Honestly I wish they could be my human doctor, truly they are THE BEST!
