Our school had a band trip scheduled in May 2020 but had postpone due to COVID. They rescheduled it for May 2021. They just cancelled it do to the concerns of COVID and all the cases still continuing. They kept the $50 deposit. Parents should not be forced to give away free money in a case like this. Horrible business decision and I hope more parents complain and report them to the to better business bureau
My son's 7th grade band trip had a Washington DC trip planned. Covid happened. This company sent a written notice that it was retaining 25% of all monies paid. Their site said that they would refund all monies except those retained by vendors so 25% was a completely arbitrary number.
\ More than 90 days later, they sent a refund and retained 85.8% of the money we paid! We got $32 of $210 paid!
To make matters worse, they were trying to get payment in full up to the date of cancellation! I would be even more mad if we had paid the full $700 and got $100 back.
WOW! Their response says to contact them, as if they would try to resolve the matter, but they already told me to only deal with their Connecticut lawyer! They even lie on their review page.
Traveling with a group of over 200 band members, chaperones and parents, Music Travel Consultants did an outstanding job! Their communication and details were spot on and we had the best experience ever at Disney!
Andrew Moran and his team we very helpful with any questions we had and knew so much about Disney, it’s history and what to expect. Morgan kept bus #5 well informed and kept us all well organized.
I would do this trip again in a heartbeat! Thank you MTC for the best vacation ever!
This tour company handled the Prosper HS band's travel arrangements when they went to Disney World to perform. From the beginning everything was done clearly with communication and fairly with pricing and information. My daughter was safe and had a great time. This company also went out of their way to provide at least three once-in-a-lifetime Disney experiences not available to the normal guest. My child will never forget this trip.
Okay so this company has provided us with a great experience of New York. We stuck exactly to the schedule, and even got ahead sometimes. We went to Broadway, are going to march in a parade, watched the biggest Christmas show in the world, saw the observatory, went to central park, went to the statue of liberty, etc. They did not schedule strictly, and we were given itineraries before we went so we knew what to expect. We were told to bring food for the bus ride, made stops for food and restrooms, and were given at least 6 hours of sleep. Also, what do you expect? We are in New York for the sights and getting up early will get the most out of your day. Belongings on the broken down bus were to be transferred if you wanted them (told to bring them and the people were told when they would receive them again). Music travel consultants has taken care of us and allowed for safe trips. Being "dangerously crammed" into the isles is an overstatement. People were sitting in the isles just fine. A great trip and we hit so many relevant landmarks as listed above and such as Alexander Hamilton's Grave, the Trinity Church, Wall Street, etc and some people (like the other reviewers) slept through the relevant parts and did not care to watch the shows. Also, a low budget trip for New York can cost anywhere from $2104 to $2804, and we paid around 1500 for great seats and amazing views. Everything was handled exceedingly well and I 100 percent recommend music travel consusltants.
Two of my children participated in a HS band trip to Philadelphia and NYC over the Thanksgiving holiday. The cost to send two children was a significant family decision, but one we do not regret in the least. The organization and communication before and during the trip was clear and timely. The itinerary was jam-packed with literally something for everyone! Upon return neither one of them stopped sharing pictures and stories for over an hour - and the coolest part? I don't think either one of them shared even one thing that was the same. I would swear to you that they went on different trips and I'm pretty sure they were even on the same bus! Great experience for my kids - Safe, organized, and relevant itinerary stops. I feel that we got an amazing value for our money. Highly recommend.
I was a chaperone for the Avon marching Band’s trip to San Antonio. The consultants went above and beyond accommodating for our group. They took me to Walmart to pick up contact lenses that a student needed and were willing to do anything else to help. Mark, Sue, Andrew, and all the others involved did a great job of planning and scheduling for over 300 people to go so far away! Thanks music travel for another great trip!
MTC does a great job planning trips. The staff is professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of getting student groups to their destination and back home safely. I would highly recommend them!
Music Travel does a great job planning and providing wonderful trips for the Avon Marching Black and Gold. I have been on at least 4 trips and about to go on two more this year (2017). This is a top rated company. The staff works with the needs of the group (even food allergies when meals are planned). Please give them a try for your group trip. They are an amazing team of professionals. Thank you for all you do. Always nice to see Mark and Andrew, but also nice to meet other members of the Music Travel group. AMAZING is all I have to say!!
This kind of service rarely exists anymore! When I called with a questions, a real person answered. As a whole, I experienced a surprising level of kindness and expertise dealing with any of the staff. You can easily see that the people at Music Travel have great pride and passion for what they do. After the trip, we received dozens of positive comments from students and parents about how well-organized the entire experience had been. Even the school’s administration and teachers were excited about the results with Music Travel. Everyone could not stop talking about the trip once they were back in school!
