What a blast. I actually got to pilot a helicopter. Lil ole me who always thought that would be too expensive. For an introductory flight I was given some important details about helicopter flight in about 20 minutes of ground training. Then it was off to the beautiful blue yonder.
My instructor got us up in the air then one by one he let me take over the controls always staying nearby to keep the learning fun.
Joe , the guy who runs the thing said his 4 passenger helicopter could be used to take a couple of buds up with me to do a city tour as well.
I am keeping that one in mind for the father in law who always looks to get a little adventure into his life.

Thanks Freedom Helicopters for the freedom from being ground bound. I now find my self looking up all the time I hear and engine above me to see if it was the helicopter I flew.

If your thinking about taking a tour of Indianapolis via helicopter. Stop thinking and just do it!!!! It's amazing and Freedom Helicopters is the way to go. My girlfriend and I went up for her birthday and it was an experience we will never forget but one we will repeat. Our pilot was Graydon and he was extremely friendly and communicated well with us. We only went on a 20 min flight but next time I believe will will schedule a longer tour. The prices are reasonable based on my expectations. Give them a call and book a flight. You wont be disappointed.
