I am a concerned neighbor that sees the parking lot from my balcony. In the last two weeks we have thwarted 4 car break ins. The front desk could care less because it is park at your own risk. We stopped another one tonight. If your care about your vehicle and belongings DO NOT go to this hotel. There is no security in the parking lot and your safety could be at risk.

The location of the hotel is the prime reason for the high ratings. It is steps away from the beach. The building and rooms are a little old, but in general still very clean. There is a pool and not tub (although the jets weren't working when I stayed there). Breakfast is also included with stay, but usually a very simple selection of offerings. A no frills hotel with amazing access to the beach.

A vacation location to be savored.
Quiet nook over the St Augustine bridge.
Away from the hustle and bustle but sooooo close to the things you want.
Publix is across the street.
Shuttles will take you to St A.
Pool (no diving! 5ft "deep end")
Breakfast 6-10am (saves you $10/person right there).
5pm fresh baked, warm cookies.
The fruit of the breakfast area is always available.
Walk to everything here.
If you have a bike, the area is extremely accessible to you.

Imagine staying in a luxury bat cave.
This is what you want when you say GETAWAY.

Good breakfast, nice decor, and large rooms make this a good destination But more than anything the real value is the location. The elevator is SLOW and the rooms (bathrooms mostly) could use a renovation, but all in all a good pick.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here and did not want to leave! From the minute we walked in to the time we left the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They also let us know that everyday at 5pm they offered fresh cookies and beverages in the lobby (which were delicious). We were also asked which floor and side of the hotel we would prefer since they were not completely booked. Our room was very spacious and had a balcony (all rooms do) that offered us a view of the ocean. The bed was comfortable with soft sheets. There was also a sink, microwave, and fridge in the room and vending on each floor. Breakfast was offered every morning which included a variety of options and the hot items differed each morning. This breakfast bar also included fresh fruit and much more. There was plenty of seating available for the guest along with a nice quaint courtyard(that could be used at any time). The location was also great and just a 2 minute walk from the beach! Shopping was also in walking distance which included grocery shopping and a few other small shops. St. Augustine was only a 10 minute car ride away. We loved every minute of our stay and will not be staying anywhere else if we return to St. Augustine!

The staff was very kind and friendly. The location is great. Near everything you'd ever need. Grocery store right at walking distance. Close to the beach and the main town. Lobby was very nice looking. Now the Room; Furniture is decent, all you would ever need. TV is ancient, WiFi was non existent, did not work all 4 days we stayed.( To their defense it looks like At&t was working on it but we left before they resolved it) but still, 4 days and the internet was not fixed. Bed squeaks. The bathroom was nice, had all the usual hotel necessities. AC works great, very nice to have a on wall control. For the price paid I was expecting a little more. But it didn't kill my vacation. Still had a great time.

Room was ok.. I wanted a balcony which I got but the door was old and didn't want to open . Balcony was literally two and a half feet wide. No furniture just a tiny space. Carpets really need to be replaced. And everything could use repair. I absolutely could see a water view which was really nice but the balcony is so itty bitty tiny that you stand there for a second and you go back inside as you struggle to get the door open and close which is next to Impossible.. And the location is within walking distance of the beach and Publix is is very close you can see it from the hotel.

Right next to the beach so close you can throw a rock and hit the beach. The hotel was real nice. The rooms we in great shape and most importantly clean. There are several restaurants in the area and a Publix right next door. The staff was friendly and had me checkded in and out quickly. Had a fine time here and would not hesitate to return here.

When we rolled up to this Hampton Inn my jaw dropped. I was not expecting it to be so lovely. The building was wonderfully Spanish looking with balconies on every room. The lobby was huge with high ceilings. The intricate paddle fans stretch across the ceiling were both cool and impressive.

I found the staff to be friendly and sincere. The seemed proud of their hotel and eager to make their customers happy.

The room was typical Hampton Inn - with a nice balcony. There was a nice view of the ocean from our third floor room. Ocean access was a short distance from the parking lot.

We would definitely stay there again.

Room, bedding, bathroom, etc was clean. Check in was quick, the front desk attendant was super friendly. Room was spacious and allowed for us to easily set up our daughters pack n play. Easy access to the beach (only a back street between the hotel parking lot and the walk), access has bathrooms and showers. Pool and hot tub area were nice but there were no cushions on the chairs that lined the pool (regular chairs not loungers) so you couldn't really sit on them. They did have loungers, those were fine. Beach area was nice, two lifeguard stands. Be aware that the shore is pretty steep in this area. You would t think it would matter but it definitely made for a rougher shoreline if that makes any sense. Was a ton of fun for the older kids/adults but little ones had to have an adult with them. When the waves go back out down the steep shore they really pull you with them. Just thought I would mention. :)

Love the location. I wished I called before I booked, the Dryer was broken. Manager was the best, all staff are so sweet, thoughtful and understanding. Staff went out of there way to make my 5 days 4 nights the best.

Location location location This hotel was right across the street from an access point to the beach. Rooms were spacious and clean, although not the newest. Service was great. I arrived early and was allowed to check in well ahead of the check in time. There's also a complimentary breakfast, a nice pool, and hot tub.
