The beds were quite comfortable (and I can be picky about my bed) And the staff did a great job. The hotel was fully booked and for that reason we couldn't get a rollaway bed for my kids. Prices were high in the area due to it being a busy season, but I was able to get a decent rate. No complaints. Breakfast was decent and the staff were able to keep up with demand quite well.

Clean and great amenities. Great staff, especially the night audit. Rooms are average but there are options for rooms with Jacuzzi tubs which are awesome. Located right behind a Denny's that makes breakfast for dinner super convenient.

Booked a queen room but when we arrived it smelled like smoke and the only other rooms available were full. It was a cramped stay. Decent breakfast.

Even though most people wouldn't look at this hotel and consider it 5-star but it most definitely is. The rooms are super Clean, staff is extremely nice and the continental breakfast and sitting area is well organized and maintained while people come in and out for breakfast. They do a great job at making their guests feel at home. If you are in St.Augustine, be sure to stay here over any other hotel. You won't be disappointed

WIFI works 25% of the time. Not acceptable. LAN line works better but not well. Rims are okay but not great. Customer service is okay but not great. There are great hotels nearby at the same rate here with much better accommodations and better beds and updated.

The only reason I am not giving this hotel one star is because the location is very convenient. It's right off I-95, yet only a few minutes away from the Historic District, and righr across the street from the outlet mall. This place used to be much better, but it has truly deteriorated over the past two years. The lobby and elevator areas have an unpleasant smell. We noticed it last year when we stayed here, and sure enough, the smell was very noticeable today again. Our room had a musty smell, and there was mildew in the bathroom and hair on our bedsheets (and not just a couple of strands). This is definitely the last time we stay here. Very disappointing, as this used to be one of my favorite hotels in this area.

The staff was friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was included and had a few hot items. No AC is the hallways or elevators so they are warm and humid in the summer. There must have been a recent sewage problem because the hallway and elevators had an odor which was poorly masked by air freshener. The pool was basic and the hot tube was out of service. The location is an easy 20 drive to the beach and most St Augustine historical attractions.

We had the standard room comped for a timeshare presentation. The beds were too small for a family of 4. Room otherwise was nice. Had a view of some water. Sundries shop was poorly stocked. The hall on our floor had a strong odor like it was cleaned but the solution had soured.

I'm very disappointed in my stay at this Wingate. I've stayed with them in different cities and was very pleased which was a great experience. I don't think I'll stay at this one again.

Staff was friendly. Rooms are modern clean and well kept. Breakfast was great and kept replenished throughout the duration of breakfast hours. Perfect distance from all St. Augustine attractions. Many restaurants around hotel to choose. Will be coming back to this hotel.

It's just ok. The room smells moldy and looks very old. The reservation process sucks to say the least. Wingate is blaming expedia and expedia is blaming Wingate. As i was checking in and trying to sort out a cancellation charge billed to me, another customer was complaining about the same thing. This is my first time staying at Wingate and it will be my last.

The girl who checked us in was very short with us, at around 1/2 am you could hear the front desk phone ringing from our room for over 15 minutes straight. Got to the point my boyfriend had to go find the front desk attendant only to find her outside chatting up someone. The rooms smell muggy. There were bugs, including a cockroach in the hot tub. We booked for two nights and ended up leaving before night 2 because it was so bad. A red roof inn would have beeb better. Only reason I have two stars is the housekeeper was very friendly and did a great job.
