We stayed for three nights while in St. Augustine. On the second day we returned from our sightseeing in the evening and our room was not done up. We had left at about 9:30 AM that morning and removed the do not disturb sign. When we called the front desk they asked several questions trying to find a way to steer the blame toward us. So the final excuse was that the housekeeping got done early that day and went home before 9:30 so there was no one to make up the room. We did manage to get fresh towels. Also a bunch of coffee, shampoo, mouthwash, body lotion conditioner and other things we did not need. (A bottle of water or soda would have been nicer, or some warm cookies.) I remember that at other Hamptons they always had warm cookies when you checked in. There were none to be had here. Someone else asked and the desk clerk said that she will put some in the oven in about 1/2 hour. The rooms were small and I could have used an additional pillow. Also the beds were on the hard side. The self check in on-line was not useful at all for selecting your room as the map was stuck on one floor and a small section of that floor so you could not see where the other rooms were. The one they assigned me was next to the ice machine so I did change it.
The woman at the front desk when we checked in was excellent, but she needed help. A man did come out from the backroom to help her answer questions from the person in front of us. But left and left us hanging in line. The woman ahead of us kept asking question after question while we waited there for her to get done. The man in the back could have taken over the questions and the woman could have checked us in. We had checked in online, but I guess that means nothing. Other than knowing which room I was in, I did not see that it sped up the process. The rooms were clean and seemed new. The bathroom was certainly new. We did not try the breakfast buffet, but the people eating there seemed happy. The hot stuff was eggs and sausage as well as waffles and toast. They had other stuff such as cereal, muffins and bread and fruit and juices. I did like that they had coffee in the lobby in the morning, afternoons and evenings.
All in all, not a bad place to stay, I would stay again. If they could work out their issues this would be 5 stars for me.
Wonderful hotel. Stayed during nights of lights and could t have been happier with the choice. Good breakfast and clean rooms and bathrooms. We didn't use the pool but we didn't have the desire too, it was still in pristine condition and nice to sit by at night.
We stayed overnight and enjoyed our stay vey much. Room was clean and quiet. Pillows could be a little firmer (so flat felt like I was sleeping on the bed itself). The morning breakfast was just enough - though could have a little more hot food. They have hot right out of the oven cookies at night. And when you check out, they give you a complimentary bag of water. Will definitely be back if we're ever back in this area!
The staff was great. My aunt accidentally left money on the bed and nobody touched it. Clean, well maintained, and good breakfast bar. Highly recommend!
Best place we stayed on our week-long trip. Friendly staff. Had a clean room that looked really nice with a powerful air conditioner and a soft bed. Cookies downstairs at all times. Best hotel breakfast we have had. Caramel and chocolate sauce for the waffles? Yes, please. The price was a little higher than others in the area but worth it. Just a short drive from the fort and the downtown area.
Great staffreally kind and helpful. Comfy beds. Decent breakfast. Close to town and attractions. But hotel is transitioning decor in rooms and the effect is not visually pleasant.
This was one of the nicest Hamptons I've been too. I always love the conveniences. The refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker are so great. The beds and the breakfasts are the absolute best. This Hampton also had fresh coffee all day and fresh fruit in the lobby. Which I had not experienced before. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel like family. The hotel was in an ideal location. Very close tho beach and historic district. We had no complaints at all except the drains in the bathroom we're a little slow.
Friendly staff, clean rooms and a great breakfast. Close to historic sites and beaches. A great place to stay and see what St Augustine is all about. Will stay here again.
A wonderful and memorable stay! Three couples and three generations in our group, including 8 children ages 1 thru 8. We had 2 suites together at the end of a hallway on the top floor plus a nearby double room, so we could visit in the hall after kids went to bed without disrupting other guests. The top floor also has a nearby 1-bedroom suite which we didn't use. Breakfast was enjoyed each day by all members of our group, with a good variety of food and beverage, all kept replenished. Walking distance to many attractions (max. 1.1 miles for us), close driving distance to Vilano beach (our preferred water access) and amenities were all readily available and in good order. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub, as well as poolside tables with umbrellas. There were special gifts for our party as Hilton HHonors members, and reserved parking for high level HHonors members. Reserve early, especially with military, senior, or travel club discounts.
Wonderful rooms and staff. Unfortunately, the room we were staying in had exceptionally thin walls and we heard our neighbors throughout the night. This was remedied by the staff. Breakfast was better than expected as well!
Rooms were very clean and staff was friendly and accommodating. We would definitely recommend and be more than happy to stay again in the future. If I had to give one complaint it would be that the building and our room were very humid, but other than that we were satisfied with the overall experience.
Room was great. Clean no mess waiting for us when we got here. When asking about food / activities they were prepared to offer suggestions that were great.
