Hotel staff were helpful and friendly, the building is within walking distance of many downtown attractions.
Room was clean. Staff was extremely friendly with ready smiles. Parking under the building is extremely tight for a truck. Parking is free for hotel guests. Breakfast was good. Easy access to highways.
Great loaction close too convention center, good value with garage parking and breakfast included.
Great location. Right in between the main campus of University of Tennessee-Knoxville and Market Square. Easy parking and easy to navigate.
The hotel accommodations were great. My only recommendation is for guest to request a room away from the street. My room seemed to be only a few feet from a main road and I heard cars and trucks passing by all night.
Great front desk staff. We were there as visitors (our friends were the actual hotel guests) and we were greeted with joyful and helpful attitudes and smiles.
Here's an example of their excellence in service and hospitality:
I left my raincoat in the lobby seating area and so I called in to see if they had found it the same night. The staff went above and beyond to make sure it was safely tucked away and it was there upon my arrival. Although they at first thought it had not been located, the staff (4 of them) all worked together to search lost and found logs and spoke to individual employees to track the raincoat down. I was humbled by their kindness. The facilities (indoor pool and rooms and hallways) were amazingly well kept and clean. Highly recommend! If I have any out-of-town guests who don't have a hotel in mind to stay at, I would gladly recommend this Hampton Inn and Suites. Easy 5-10 minute walking distance to many things in downtown (Market Square/Krutch Park; World's Fair Park; Knoxville Convention Center; Lawson McGhee Library; Gay Street eateries; Tennessee Theater and the newly built Regal Riviera Cinemas. Five stars all the way! :-)
The Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown Knoxville is an excellent value. The hotel is within walking distance of many downtown attractions, boasts the customary Hampton niceties such as included buffet breakfast, clean rooms, great customer service, nice pool & gym, great beds & bedding, safe & convenient parking etc.
A year ago, I gave this Hampton Inn 5 stars. This time around, our room had a toilet that barely flushed. We didn't discovered the problem until we got our boys settled and everything setup and comfortable. We called the front desk, and they brought us a plunger - so we were expected to plunge a toilet that wasn't properly flushing before we got into the room. They handed us the plunger with the attitude of "not our problem." Definitely not my typical Hampton Inn experience. I'd also add there were no usable power plugs on the bedsides. Annoying. A busted crapper and crappy electrical options made for a bummer stay.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Only issue was this was a one night stop while traveling with family and getting into parking garage with car top carrier was a challenge. There seemed to be limited or no parking on street around hotel.
Very welcoming staff and easy access to all areas downtown. The morning breakfast includes really good choices as well. Highly recommend staying here.
The location was extremely convenient for our visit to the convention center. An employee gave us great advice for activities for the kids and recommended a great restaurant all within walking distance!
Didn't know we had to pay to park in the parking garage. But everything was fine with the room and service was good
This is a nice place and a great location. I would give it more stars but there was a strange chemical/gasoline smell when we stayed there. Our checkout was so abrupt and perfunctory I wasn't able to report it in person. But I did in the followup survey and they responded that they would address it. Hopefully I'll be able to update this review to say it's a perfect experience.
