My girlfriend and i have stayed here several times and have really enjoyed ourselves. The location is fantastic and people are very helpful and friendly. Our rooms have always been very clean and nice. Positive is next door to the Peddler. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for a getaway or vacation.

I'll give 2 stars because the staff is super friendly. But the carpets in our room were FILTHY!!!! The tub is stained, the bathroom is tiny. We signed a paper at check-in that said if anyone in our room even smoked on the balcony, we would have to pay a $250 cleaning fee. But every time any of us (including our children) went on the balcony, there were cigarette ashes all over it. We would literally have to wipe them off of the chairs and table. When my Husband mentioned it to the front desk staff he was told, "Oh smoking is allowed on the balcony just not in the room". ????????? So, that was disgusting as well. We will never stay here again.

I very much enjoyed our stay here last weekend. The walls are thick so you dont hear much outside noise. My suggestion thou is to get a room on the far ends of the second floor since they serve breakfast on the 3rd floor and you can hear kids running around above you at times. The beds are firm but not too bad. Its clean and cozy. Fire place was nice and we had a room on the river side. Water pressure is great and breakfast was good as well.

2 stars because the room was not up to par. The breakfast was really great, the staff was very friendly and the location was optimal.

However, our room was definitely outdated and a little shabby. The bathroom was not very clean so we dreaded using it. Overall I'd stay here again if I had a renovated/cleaner room. Other than that it was pleasant.

We love Bearskin. It is located within just a few miles of the National Park--easy to walk in or drive in to start your hiking adventures. Location is also right off the main strip so you can walk to eat or play The hotel feels like a lodge complimenting the outdoor adventure we are seeking.

We love Bearskin Lodge! We come here almost every fall to get away with the kids and hike in the Smokies. This hotel is within a tenth of a mile of the Smoky Mountain Trail which is a 2 Mike hike to the Smoky Mountain Visitor Center. Staying at Bearskin allows us to drive straight in to the park for hiking and beautiful views. The amenities at the hotel are great Nice rooms, balconies with river views and a great, free breakfast. We will be back!

Great getaway location!!! We had a creek view room that was very spacious. The fireplace and jacuzzi in the room were welcome additions. We were also impressed with the complementary hot continental breakfast offered each morning. It had a good selection of items to choose from.

The room was clean and it was pretty nice. I am only giving it 4 stars out of 5 because, 1) the shower drain ran slow leaving us in 4-6 inches of water at the end of a quick shower, and, 2) there was free breakfast, but we were only able to take advantage of it 1 out of the 3 days we were there because the breakfast room was very small and could only fit about 8 tables. For a hotel with several floors, one would think they would offer a bigger breakfast area. It was only about 1/2 the size of the small hotel room we were staying in.

Everyone was very friendly and check in was easy they let us view the room before we checked in. The room was nice and the bed was very clean. I had a slight key issue which was resolved quickly. The breakfast was good as well. I would recommend this place, it's a plus that you are walking distance to downtown gatlinburg..

Great hotel. Very clean and currently undergoing renovations but not a big deal. Good pool and lazy river but IT'S NOT HEATED all the time, but was still fun. Currently only 3 rooms are renovated and by July next year, all rooms should be done. Good breakfast and great friendly staff. Rooms do not have microwave and river view is actually a view of the hotel across the river. Overall it's recommended, rates are decent and staff is great. Will definitely be back when we have a chance and can't wait to try new rooms. They get 5 stars because staff does a really great job.

Very disappointing , I booked 2 rooms in April for the end of May ( Memorial Day weekend ) I confirmed at the time of booking that we would have a top floor room and that it had a Jacuzzi in the room like the pictures on their web site. Upon arrival we were told we would be staying in their newly upgraded rooms , That is when we were informed that the Jacuzzi in the room was removed and replaced with a love seat !! what ? Then were were told like it was a big deal, that the tub in the bathroom was removed and replace with a stand up tile shower. Wow just like the one in my house. That was the point of coming to this hotel was the Jacuzzi in the room. We paid almost 1500.00 for 2 plain rooms for the weekend. I could have found just a plain hotel room in town alot cheaper !!! The next morning when we went to take a shower there was NO HOT WATER , they didn't adjust the new handle in the shower correctly , and when we used the new toilet when flushed water ran out of the bottom of the tank onto the floor. We informed the front desk and they did fix it while we were in the Park hiking. The view from all river stream rooms is of the back side of a old Travel Lodge and their parking garage. If you want to enjoy their fire pits they have lit at night good luck all you will hear is the loud running of the pool pumps.

We will definitely be back to visit and hopefully for a longer stay next time. Our room was amazing with a beautiful river view. We loved both the fireplace and jacuzzi tub tremendously. Our bed was very comfy and the breakfast was delicious. Within walking distance of the strip also. Seriously the only thing that could have made our stay better is if they sold bath bombs in the lobby for the wonderful jacuzzi tubs. Do yourself a favor and stay here you won't be disappointed!
