Have stayed here a few times now for extended stays that have been 10+ nights. Front desk staff is great, very friendly, and helpful. Breakfast staff is always good and keeps things clean and food stocked.
Only issues I've encountered have been with housekeeping. Problems have included my laptop being activated on more than one occassion without my permission. Persisted till I informed the front office. Bathroom toilet paper roll had blood or caked on feces, didn't try to confirm which. They cleaned and folded the triangle tip on the roll instead of replacing it when I first arrived. Decided not to use the roll to see if they'd correct the issue when cleaning next day, didn't happen. The blood/feces was on the metallic roll holder as well never cleaned, so I did it the second evening and threw out the dirty roll. I could overhear housekeeping in the hallway complaining about the lack of tips too from other guests. I generally tip, but not for poor service.
***Update: Management was quick to respond after seeing this review and somehow tracked me down to address the issue and quickly deep cleaned the room. I appreciate the quick call-to-action. Adding another star from my previous 3-star review***
I have stayed in this hotel several times. It's located near many nice restaurants. Rooms are great. Professional and friendly staff.
Our family stayed for two nights. Nice clean spacious rooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, so many choices. I'd recommend this hotel and would choose it again.
Hotel was clean, and the suite room had 2 queens, a pull out couch, a 2 seated table, and a kitchenette. Unfortunately, on 11/4/17 the pool heater was broken. Having a swim-day for the kids was the main purpose of our booking the room. After the kids came out of the pool blue-lipped after 2 minutes of swimming we headed back to the room to weigh our options. I would like to thank the manager, John, for graciously allowing us to check out soon after without charge. We were able to find a reservation with a pool at a hotel nearby and salvage the kids' day. Thank you John, for your understanding, and wonderful service. Hampton Inn Sterling Heights is a lovely hotel, and I was sorry to have to leave early.
Hotel was conveniently located off of 16 Mile among shopping and dining location's. The studio suite was spacious and we were able to make use of the desk and furniture while other travelers stopped over and we got ready for the event that brought us in to town. The hotel was updated and staff was friendly. The included breakfast had many warm and cold options and was a nice pit stop before our send off. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other travelers stopping in the area.
Great place. Set back from main road.
Clean, friendly front desk. Nice rooms.plenty of parking. Average rates. Starbucks, Taco Bell and Jimmy John's 400 or so feet in front.
Friendly greeting every time we walked in the door. Great cofree at the breakfast buffet. Did not eat but saw many enjoying it. Clean comfortable room. Plenty of TV channels and strong wifi signal. I would definitely recommend.
The hotel is nice, can use a little attention to small details; lose tile near the sink and shower head can't change pattern. Nothing deal breaking. Being Detroit there driving situation is rough, but there's plenty within a short walk if you want something to eat.
Check in is easy, breakfast offers enough variety to feed each member of my family although the waffles topped with chocolate chips were a favorite. Close to lots of stores/restaurants. Rates were reasonable compared with others we checked in the area. My room was clean plenty of towels. I like to be able to check into a room and go on about my business.
I never write reviews, but I had such a good experience here that I feel. I should share. I was in town for my grandfather's funeral, had a crazy schedule and was beyond stressed. The staff was helpful, courteous and compassionate - truly helped me make the best of a tough 24 hours.
This is a decent hotel for a quick stay. It is starting to get a bit older as the wear and tear is showing. But for the rates, it's a good place for a quick trip.
it was a very nice place and polite people there. I wasn't staying there but was there for a social professional event. so am unsure about rooms and service.
This was my fourth stay at this hotel. It is always clean. The rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable. The staff always provides a friendly greeting when you arrive. Even the housekeeping staff is friendly when you pass them in the hall. This is conveniently located near several manufacturing facilities and restaurants. Walk to the Starbucks and convenience storeand there are a few bars nearby too.
