Great location, a short walk from my favorite store (Trader Joe's) and several restaurants and stores. We stayed one night while visiting family in the area. Staff was so friendly, room was very comfortable. A very nice stay at a nice hotel.

Beat up hotel, undergoing renovation. #1 issue was night staff were making LOTS of noise at 1 am, almost like there was a party. Not cool. I expect better.

Weird place and absolutely overpriced for the service they're providing. On my bed was a sign, stating that unfortunately I have a newly renovated room, but they had to put the old furniture back in as the new one was not ready.. I was surprised, as it was not really recognizable that the room was renovated at all. There's cold air blowing in from a big opening underneath the A/C unit, the breakfast is really sad after the second day, I got a soccer team next door even though other rooms were free and they could have been put easily more separate.. Anyway, I was disappointed and will not return!

This hotel was disappointing. It was in the process of a remodel but my room did not have hot water the 2 nights we were there. The first night both the shower and sink were ice cold. We complained and asked for it to get fixed. The second day they told me that they fixed the problem. That night we discovered the shower was only lukewarm and the sink continued to be ice cold. I complained again and was told maintenance would have to look at it the next day (which was when we checked out). When we checked out I had to ask for it but they did comp 1 nights stay.

The positive of the staythey did have very nice staff up front with good customer service.

Friendly staff. Hotel was in updating process but for an older facility was in good shape. Breakfast was good.

Hampton Inn quality at a good price. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Hotel layout was a little stange as elevators were not off the lobby but not a big problem. Not crowded when we stayed.

Undergoing renovation. Needs it, older facility and layout. Still, staff was friendly, room and amenities adequate. They also have dumbells in the gym; a lot of newer, nicer places don't even have that. Overall, great hotel for a place to crash without all the fuss.

Nice central location. Generally what you expect of a Hampton Inn. This property is dated, but appears to have begun renovation so likely in a year or so will come out shiny again.

I echo other reviews that this hotel is average at best. Staff and personnel, as always, great at Hilton properties. Pool was closed even though it is mid June and 95 degrees? All in all, there is a reason why this is the lowest price Hampton Inn in Raleigh. They should upgrade this hotel. I still love Hilton properties in general, but this one is like a car with 200,000 miles on it.

Beds are always comfortable. Didn't need much in the way of amenities, but Hilton properties always have what I need. This includes the occasional Toothbrush.

We have been staying at Hampton Inns since May 1 2017 for a 22 day trip. Many of the Hampton Inns are beginning to show wear and tear and can use some updating. After staying a week at the Hampton Inn Raleigh-Midtown, I was seriously thinking that we need to start looking at other hotel chains. This hotel looks to be at least 30years old or older with no renovations. This may have been somewhat overlooked if the staff were friendly, but we were there for 1 week and barely acknowledged. This has been very much unlike the other Hampton Inns we have been staying at.

We were able to choose our hotel room before arriving. The picture was not like the room we had chosen. It was missing some furniture and a microwave. The staff did find a microwave for us, but we had to make room for it to be situated.

The room was clean, just shabby. The king sized bed sagged toward the middle. The door insulation was partially sticking out in the hallway. The breakfasts at this hotel were about the same every day with little variation as in the other Hampton Inns.

One nice thing is that we are now at a hotel in VA that is only 8 years old and we love it. We are hear for 7 night. It has many things I would like to see in all of the Hampton Inns.

Bottom line: Hampton Inns should seriously start thinking about hotel updating if they want to keep their regular guest coming to them.

Usually my hotel of choice when visiting Raleigh because it's just a 5 minute drive to EVERYTHING and until my last stay has been great. The staff here was great as usual, but my room this time was unsatisfactory. The mattress was super firm to the point I had trouble sleeping. My room also had a large stain on the carpet, as well as green gunk stuck to the TV remote. I was also frustrated with the low flow sink faucet in the bathroom. It was so slow that it was inadequate for shaving and took about 30 seconds to fill up a cup of water (no exaggeration). The rest of the accommodations were fine and I even found the business center with fast internet and printers very useful during my stay.
