Stayed here to recover from surgery. Very helpful. Was able to avoid stairs per surgery instructions and still had plenty of nice areas to walk. Applebees pretty much in parking lot served full menu until 2 am was great. And the hotel had a very good hot breakfast every morning with an excellent variety of teas!

Such a wonderful welcoming staff! The premises seem a little old, but the outstanding quality of service there more than makes up for it. These folks have real southern charm. I'd definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

If I could give it a 1/2 star I would
So it starts with finding this crap hole, it's absolutely and I mean absolutely nothing like the pictures or the reviews. So we check in a little after 11pm for traveling all day, the front door was shut, not locked but shut, mind you this is a slider, I had to pry it open, so i get in and the guy at check in is talking on the phone, like a personal Call, not business, and tells me to hang on and runs over to the microwave to remove his food and then runs back to check me in. He then tells me since I booked with booking.com that I need to put a card on file and put a hold on my card for damages. At this point I'm like okay it didn't say anything about it but whatever. We get checked in and drive around what looks like the hood and find our room, there is equipment everywhere so finding parking was horrible. We finally make our way to the room and open the door and what do we find, holy 1980s. This place even smelt like 1980, so we pull back the disco covers and I immediately check for bed bugs and to my surprise I find nothing thank God. So I get my son in bed to try to sleep and try to adjust the temp in the room, but nope that was broke, and it was 40 degrees outside and inside the air was on 68, so we froze. I am so mad at this time I just lay down and try to sleep. My husband woke up at 2am because he heard a lot of noise and he walk outside and finds guys selling drugs out the next room to us.. like seriously. Well he locks our room down like fort Knox, and lays down, ends up waking us up early to leave. We go to get showers and oh we forgot they turned the water off to the entire building at 10am, there was a note on the counter, so we load our belongings and run out of the pig sty, and head to 6 flags. You could not pay me to stay here ever ever again. So much room for improvement on this dump.response / report this review -

The Hampton Inn is part hotel/part motel. Our room was located in the older motel part. The room smelled of mildew, the shower looked like the one in the movie "Psycho" and the TV periodically stopped working so that all you could see was the image that was on the screen when it "froze" up. You could still hear what you were watching, but you couldn't see it. Then the remote wouldn't work. Had to unplug the TV to get it to turn off. Funny thing though, once I plugged it back in, it started working properly again. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. The noise from the interstate as well as from the low, low, low-flying planes from the military base can keep you from sleeping. If you do decide to stay here, ask for a room in the hotel part.

The front desk staff was very nice and professional. My room was in the outdoor building with external entries to the rooms. If I wanted Motel 6, I would have stayed there and not here. The bathroom looks like it's from the Brady Bunch--tired 1970s mess. To think that Hilton offers this crap property for $100/night. Why am I wasting my time being an HHonors member?

This is the second time I have stayed here and I stay here for the price and the convenience to I-75. My only issue is that you stay in the main building (the interior) and not in the older building that isn't connected to the main building. That is because the rooms are nicer in the main one as opposed to the older building and are up to the Hampton Inn room standard. Other than that you will have a wonderful stay here.
