I really wasn't impressed. Ordered a steak. Wife thought her was ok. I barely was able to eat mine. The atmosphere was nice. Wait staff was knowable and kind. Just not happy with the food. Happy others enjoy it but just not a place I will be going back to.

The service was amazing. We had two wonderful people take care of us. They explained the menu, answered our questions, and made us feel welcome and comfortable. We were in a nice room upstairs.
The food was expensive but amazing. I had the best steak of my life here, and my boyfriend enjoyed his shrimp and grits, which were creamy and soft. My cocktail was delicious, and the dessert, Ice Cream and Cookies, came with nice soft cookies and great raspberry sherbet (there were 4 options for ice cream flavors).response / report this review -

I was here on Sunday and gospel music, and it just warmed you up as you dive into one of there steaks that melts in your mouth. The service wasn't the best, Lance was a little distance from us we order fried green tomatoes and it took 30 mins for us to get them. But this one Bus Boy named Lucas did amazing job and took better care of us than our own server, will be back for another steak soon.

Tommy Hall and his family absolutely knocked this out of the park. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like family. The service, food, and drinks were world class. My wife and I had a wonderful celebration and we cannot wait to come back in town. This will be our first stop! Keep up the great work Hall family!

This is the most fantastic steakhouse I've ever been to. PERIOD. The steak, best I've ever had. The service, best and most professional I've ever had. I've been a bartender for 25 years and could only hope to have a job in an establishment like this, and my place is top 5 grossing in the country. Josh is an amazing bartender and ambassador for this city. Not only treating me like an old friend, but taking me to cool spots on the block the next night. Real people make the difference. Thank you again!! Tommy Hall, nice to meet you!!! Tim, amazing on the piano!!!! If y'all are ever in DC, I can only hope to return the hospitality!!!

I visited Halls for the first time about a week ago with friends on a bachelorette weekend. Our food was amazing, the owner was so kind and we ended up sticking around and hanging at the bar after our meal. While everything was outstanding the bartenders were the highlight of our night! Josh and Justin kept the drinks and laughter flowing and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend even if just for a cocktail!

Best dinner I've had. We came to celebrate our anniversary and were not disappointed. The atmosphere is fun and romantic and the food is beyond wonderful. This is a great place to come celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or just have a regular meal. We will be back!

We had a large group of about ten celebrating a friends birthday and the service was impeccable.
The seafood, oysters, and steaks were amazing! Creamed corn was out of this world.
One in our party was vegetarian and for a steakhouse, they accomadated him perfectly.
The owner was also present and made a visit to our table to check in and send birthday wishes. Perfect all around.response / report this review -

Had a dinner here during restaurant week and had a great experience. The food was some of the best I've had with the flavors, atmosphere, and service being incredible. We went early before the crowd and had several people keep checking on us, including one of the owners. The restaurant week selection was a good deal, as we were able to get a 3 course meal for the price of 1 entree. The menu is quite pricey, but worth the expense.

Very delicious food!! Service was excellent and the owner was there as well. What a great experience. I enjoyed every bit of it. Worth every penny. The owner was interactive with all the patrons and introduced him self to everyone who walked in. He made sure to say goodbye to us as we left. He missed us walking out, so he chased us down the street to say goodbye. If I'm ever in the Charleston area again I would definitely re-visit. I recommend eating here for a nice evening out.

When we walked into Halls for the first time, we were greeted by Billy (the owner) with a firm handshake and a welcome. He asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, and when we told him that it was our anniversary, he brought us two glasses of champagne.
The staff is so knowledgeable and work together like a perfectly coordinated dance. You can tell that everyone here takes pride in their work and it was very apparent.
My husband has the Japanese Wagyu steak and it was cooked to perfection and obviously delicious. The side dishes are served family style, but even half portions were more than enough for my husband and I.

Unbelievable! The food is phenomenal! The fried green tomato appetizer is out of this world! Also, go with the dry aged steak. I had the dry aged ribeye which was by far the best steak I have ever eaten in my life! Words cannot describe the experience at Hall's! It is an experience that you must try!

Went for the gospel brunch. Not cheap but you absolutely pay for quality; food was great and healthy portions. The singers were wonderful. Service was absolutely top notch and the owner greeted everyone who came through at the door. Top notch.

Best service ever received at a restaurant. Waiter told owner there was a little fat on my moms steak (we had said nothing as it didn't bother her) and he came right over ready to replace it. Confused, my mom told him it was completely fine and didn't need to be replaced. Neither of us complained or said anything about the fat, that is just how attentive the servers are. At the end of the meal, a delicious complimentary desert was brought over to us because of it. They go above and beyond to make sure their customers have an outstanding experience and that is exactly what we had. Oh, and the food IS all it's cracked up to be!! Highly recommended.

Halls truly made our anniversary the most special we've ever had. From the moment we entered we were greeted cheerfully by Billy Hall. When we sat down and asked if we were celebrating anything, the entire staff surrounding us poured on congratulations and brought champagne! To say our meal was the best we've ever had is NOT an exaggeration. Everything from the cocktails to the dessert was amazing. The service, food and experience is what every restaurant should strive for. We can't wait to visit Charleston again just to eat at Halls!
