We came here for our first visit to Charleston. We knew it was a well known place and wanted it to be our first dinner. We were happy with our meal. Food came out really fast and server was friendly. Loved the ambiance. Had the hush puppies, shrimp & grits, and Fleet salad. Everything was great
The bartender was fantastic, our waitress Caroline was awesome. She was very helpful when we ordered and she was excellent at making sure we were taken care of. The seafood platter by far is the best we have had in a while. Everything had great fresh flavor. Will definitely eat here again soon. Thank you all for this terrific experience
One of the best seafood locations in town! Very lovely view and great atmosphere day or night! Definitely get a reservation for the dinner hour if here on the weekend or be ready to wait at least an hourbut worth the wait! Indoor and outdoor seating, full bar and waiting area inside and out. Here for a friend's birthday celebration and they surprised her with a slice of cake! Great customer service; even the manager came by to make sure we were being taken care of. Will be back!
Food was great! Server was very knowledgeable. Made our meal complete! Went back for some late in the day appetizers. Had the crab cakes and the stuffed hush puppies. They were amazing. The sweet tea was the best that I have ever had. It was strong and sweet. We also had shrimps and grits. Amazing!
This is by far the best restaurant in Charleston!!! We were in town for 4 days (visiting from Toronto, Canada) and we went to Fleet Landing two nights in a row! Had a wonderful experience. The food, view and service are all phenomenal! The servers were absolutely amazing and took really good care of us. Thank you Bruce and Bryce for the great service and Alex and Connor at the bar. You guys are all awesome!! Would highly highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great seafood restaurant in Charleston. Can’t wait to be back here’s next time I’m in Charleston.
Everyone loved their food and I had a steak salad. Very good. This restaurant has award winning shrimp and grits. Plenty of southern style food. Lots of the deep fried stuff. Long wait.. Prices are amazingly low.
Fleet Landing was recommended to us and my wife and I decided to give it a try. We arrived early and had drinks at the bar. After being seated and meeting a very energetic waitress, we placed our drink and food order. The She Crab soup was quite good and our food arrived shortly after. We shared a 3 item seafood combo which was flavorful and cooked just right. The General Mgr. Sam Richardson stopped at our table to inquire if all was well. He was very matter of fact, did not smile and certainly didn't make us feel welcome. Not what one would expect. Our waitress and the bar tenders were everything he wasn't. We will probably will not come back.
This place is fantastic!!! This restaurant is right on the waterfront so get a table near the window and enjoy the view!
The shrimp and grits was perfect. The calamari appetizer was so tender it melted in your mouth. Even the fish of the day, which was swordfish, red rice and collard greens was great. The service was impeccable and the waitress recommendations were right on the money.
Do I recommend this restaurant?? YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT!!!! I can't wait to visit Charleston again just to eat here again!!
I have been coming here with my family since 2010it has always been consistent. Great food, great service! The seafood is always fresh. I highly recommend the daily specials, as they never disappoint. We love to sit outside, it can get a bit windy, but its great to be over the water and see the dolphins. The watermelon martini is good, not too sweet and really awesome! Parking is difficult as it is a small and cramped parking lot, so be prepared to park elsewhere and walk. There are only limited handicap parking spaces available, which since my husband is disabled can be burdensome, but the food is worth the slight inconvenience!!!
Great food! Great service! And you do not leave hungry! Very ample servings! We'll showed up at noon with 14 people and we're seated in less than 10 minutes. You can't beat that! I'll go back again!
The scallops were very fresh and well cooked and our waitress was excellent; she had great recommendations. We had the key lime pie for dessert and it was divine. The wait was very long (on a Saturday night) but we walked around the nearby waterfront park while we waited which passed the time nicely. Even if you don't sit outside (which would have been an extra 20 minutes of waiting when we were there), most of the tables are near a window so you get nearly the same effect.
Don't order the blue crab dip! It tastes fishy and old. All of the blue crab dishes on the bar ordered by us and other patrons were barely touched. Gumbo was average as was the peel and eat shrimp. Granted we were there waiting for the 5:00 dinner service to start but based on our experience with the bar apps decided not to risk eating dinner here with so many other wonderful restaurants to choose instead.
After waiting for 1.5 hrs for a table, being constantly told it would be 45 min, then another 10 min, then 5 min., we wondered who was being seated, even after many prompting s on our part. Once seated, Lennie handled us very well, probably the most accomplished wait staff there. Once food was ordered, it came within 5 min, before Lennie had brought out a bread basket. All in all, we spent way too much time for the food ordered. Was the food good? Yes! Lennie suggested the trigger fish as I would not experience that dish in the NW, where we get shrimp, muscles, salmon, and all kinds of seafood. My wife's gumbo was equally delicious. Bottom line, either make a reservation or don't wait. Charleston has too many other options.
You have the best food we've had in a long time. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable.
Ryan is a great server. He talked and had fun with us and shared his likes as far as what to eat. The food was fabulous ! And Ryan was right ! We all ordered something different, while each plate , was delicious , the shrimp & grits was the best. We will return many times
