Sometimes things take a little longer than expected, so be ready to wait or leave a vehicle there and come back for it when it's ready. The employees and mechanics want to help and are customer service oriented. I have been impressed with their service the last few times I've come recently all within the last few months.

H&J is a long-running locally-owned auto repair business. In my experience, I have been treated in a fair, friendly manner every time I've been there. They have earned my repeat business, and I recommend them without hesitation

We arrived with a flat tire on a rental and the rental car did not provide a spare. These folks got us in quickly, pulled the tire and worked hard to patch it to get us on the way. So nice. If ever broke down in town, Get to H&J Tire.

We were on a trip and had a blowout on 64, limped back into Lexington on the donut spare, They were very busy, but took us right in. They did not have a tire in stock but he found a used one that would work, we were back on our way in less then a hour. I live 3 hours away but when I need new tires I will be making the ride to give them my business, Refreshing to find this kind of personal service, 5 stars is no way near enough, they are awesome!!

I was traveling when my tire went flat. They worked me in just before closing time and patched my tire for a very reasonable price! They really did me right. These guys are terrific, highly recommend!

5 stars is just not enough of a wonderful rating for this place!!! Not even an hr into our trip, military relocation, we blew a tire out. My wife changed it to the donut, called multiple closer places and noone had our tires except these guys. So we limped 17 miles and were greated with the best service we have ever had. Our car was loaded with luggage and we had two dogs with us. They made us a priority due to having dogs and traveling to lauisiana. They made us feel right at home, let our dogs come into the office to hang out and get some water, and were amazing while we waited. With no pressure, other than to replace the busted tire, we ended up buying all four new ones. They made sure that our car was good, gave us a WONDERFUL price for the tires and we were on our way in less than an hour. They are highly recommended and have the nicest employees that make you feel well taken care of in a rough situation.

Had a blowout on Route 64 in the middle of a family trip. Although they did not have the tires we needed, they found them in another city, contacted that place for us and printed out directions to get there. Also checked our spare (donut) to be sure it was safe to drive that far. Would not accept payment. WOW!!!! They are awesome :-)

These people are great. We needed our tire changed and quickly. They came straight out, changed our tire, and done. They even had to crawl under our vehicle to get the tire, and made sure the tire was balanced.

Wow! I read the other reviews and had high expectations yet remained critically realisict about car mechanics. They diagnosed my problem then called me to declare a $160 fix due to having to replace a hose. I returned to pay my bill and pick up the vehicle; they charged me only $90. Oh yeaaa! They told me after further inspection they realized that I did not need that expensive part (they already ordered) and did not charge me for it. They pointed to the box of the unneeded hose and told me they would try to send it back. Now, in the city I grew up, such honest treatment from a mechanic was unheard. Great, upright, honest, friendly, straight shooting individuals running the store.
