Excellent fun place. Great pizze. Good ambience. Feels like New York. There are always a lot of eclectic and artsy people there. The owner stretch is a local Sculptor. It's in the fun Crossroads District.
The food was great the music fantastic, I probably got the worst seat in the house (right next to the turn in the bar and by the tap) but the guy on the griddle singing and having a good time made it all the better. Absolutely would recommend. Try the Philly it's pretty great.
Food, beer, and service were all great on a busy Saturday night. Lots of bar and pizza staples, but also a few interesting items like smoked Gouda potato casserole or fried goat cheese salad. Nice selection of draft beer, and pizza was very fresh and tasty. I didn't have the Philly, but it looked great too. Within walking distance of lots if other great stops.
Grinders puts the "D" in delicious. I love pizza. Pizza is popular in our town, with many places to choose from. However if you also like good live music. This place must be your choose! Grinders is full of tasty delights. They have 🍕 a pizza called Fun -gi ( fungi, mushroom) that will send your taste buds to the moon and back! The pie is prepared quickly.
You will enjoy the flavors of Grinders. It's a community involved establishment. Let's support our neighborhood businesses. Especially when they are five *****star good.
Dress is casual, the prices are$$.
Great atmosphere and service. Stopped by before a concert at The Truman and was not disappointed. Service was quick and pleasant. Wine and beer selection top notch. Food tasty and well-priced. Cool vibe.
Some of the best pizza in KC! Amazing crust. Highly recommend the margherita. Downside is it's usually full and since it's a "sit where you like" kind of place, the servers don't help you find a seat or give any kind of order to the people waiting. It can be very frustrating on busy nights.
The food is always spectacular, I get something different every single time and I am never let down. Quick service with the drinks and I love the fact they have their own brew there too! The show venue is one of the best, and the crew running the show overall is the best around.
Love the vibe and air conditioning. On time server. 1/2 pork sandwich and 1/2 pear salad. Tasty decent portion. Pear salad favorite although 2 wafer thin sliced pear slices we're skimpy. The sandwich has only 2 thin strings of mango. Lost in Can't Tasteland. Maybe chopped bits better.
my friend knew that I Love spicy food so she took me there to taste their death wings, oh my god I loved it. I never had experience any such heat of my choice. so people if you love to taste hot go to Grinders.
You had 666 reviews so I had to leave mine! 😛 Grinders is awesome. The food is great and all the beer!! The crossroads shows are amazing. The atmosphere and people are always great! I highly suggest Grinders to visitors of KC!
Grinders is fantastic. Service is great and the people are really relaxed. Nice outdoor picnic table seating (& indoor seating.) Their pizza and wings will be your new craving (I'd rank it my top 3 wings in KC) and the burgers are amazing, too. Also, $10 mimosa pitchers at brunch is hardly beatable.
Eclectic shop with lots of character in the decoration. It was really busy on a Sunday afternoon so service was as good as could be expected. The pizza was good. Ordered a bacon a spinach 12in to share between two people. It was the right amount of food and the there was a generous helping of bacon, kinda lackluster on the spinach though.
Neat place and good food but like all those places in the power and light district it's not cheap. But the sandwich was excellent. Just watch your bill as we also found an item on that we didn't order. 39 bucks for two sandwiches and two coffees is enough without paying for something not ordered.. LOL
Small place with a quirky atmosphere. I sat at the bar next to where the wait staff would pick up their orders. EVERYTHING that went by me whether it was pizza, sandwiches, side or drinks; looked amazing. Will have to come back to make it around the menu.
My date and I stopped by for some beers on her recommendation. She lives in KC and I'm from out of town. They had quite a selection, draft and bottle. We didn't get anything to eat. We stopped by strictly for the ambiance and beer. We were barhopping, trying new places for both of us.
