This is a classic and historical B&B with a friendly staff and nicely outfitted rooms that have been kept to historically correct standards with a few midern touches to meet prezent day code. This is not the place to stay if you need a TV or lots of outlets for your electronic gear. There is free wifi though. Very quiet location where you can hear the waves gently rolling on the rocky beach across the street. Bikes are available or bring your own. There is a bike and walking path that will take you to tbe Fishermans Wharf within less than 2 miles from the Inn. Free wine and cheese in the evening and Coffee and Tea are available all day. Free parking across the street or anywhere in the neighborhood near the Inn.
Beautiful B&B , On 2nd day while walking out of the back door that had NO CAUTION sign for uneven step out, fell.broke my right ankle, 3 broken bones, surgery, a bracket and 6 pins later. not so much as a get well, offer free night stay or even a thank you for staying with us bad business practices. ..
Great place to stay in Monterey, next to the water. Wonderful rooms and clean.
Nice staff
Location of property is perfect. Looks over the bay, easy walk to Cannery Row and the Aquarium. However, the customer service is not as I would have hoped for. Nothing was wrong, but missing the care and warm details one would expect at a b and b.
My wife and I loved our stay here. This is a very cozy and comfortable place to stay. The rooms are very spacious and elegant. We love the fireplace the wine and cheese and the location. Would highly recommend it
Finally stayed and location is great. Walking distance to Cannery Row and lovers point. Friendly staff, great views but not the cleanest place to stay. Disappointed, especially for the price paid, in the lack of cleanliness in the details. An icon of PG but not for me.
Amazing, soft, beautiful with amazing views and food.
Wonderful service. Great location right on the water.
I was just there to pick up an acquaintance who stayed there - but they loved it!
Made a stop by this beautiful place on our honeymoon a few years back. Just made a trip to Monterey area this weekend and raved to everyone we could about our experience at Green Gables. The accommodations were lovely. The drive took longer than planned and the staff was so very accommodating. Walking distance to Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Views right out onto the water. Best moment - wine and snacks in front of the big window facing the ocean at sunset. Priceless.
We enjoyed our stay tremendously at the Green Gables Inn. The location was perfect for walking, riding bikes or just sitting in a window enjoying the beautiful coastline. Breakfast was good, especially the French Toast! Our view from our very spacious room was spectacular (Room 7) Just a couple of things that would have made our stay even better. For the cost of the room a nice shower head and some bottled water would have been great, but that's really my only recommendation for improvement, oh and maybe some new bikes :)
